Parsons and Taylor should never be mentioned in the same sentence

LT would not make it in today's NFL. He would be suspend for failed drug tests.
I saw Taylor play. Guy was a maniac off the field - and on the field. And I swear to you, as long as LT could pass the NFL’s screening, Jerry wouldn’t give him up. Jerry would look the other way and whistle a happy tune. Taylor was a BEAST.

I watched LT play many times. He would not make in the modern NFL and Jerry would not be able to do anything about the suspensions.

He’s 8th and 1 sack away from being in the top 5. DPOY isn’t based solely on overall sack numbers. Players with more sacks than him thus far aren’t even in the conversation. There’s a multitude of reasons for that. I was responding to a post that said he was a “one year wonder,” meanwhile, the only player to have more sacks than Micah in his 1st 3 seasons is Reggie White and Micah is about to make his 3rd consecutive First-team All-Pro.
He's in a tie for 8th, technically. He's also 1 sack away from falling out of the top 10. He's a deserving all-pro, no questions about that. He's just not DPOY.

Anti Parsons just shows the stupidity around here. Dude is doubled and triple teamed the entire time with nothing more than one guy in his front 4 and 3 safeties in his front 7. This team is a joke on defense and if you removed him it would be 10+ more points per game each game. The fools are out though I see.

LT was also hopped up on coke so there's that... maybe Micah can get on the smack and dominate more.

If Micah is gone, this defense will get blown out a lot more. He’s that much of a disruptor…

Parson's sack totals are in line the last 3 years - 13, 13.5 and 12.5 and counting this year. Challenge is he is playing way less at the LB position. Total tackles were down 20 and only .5 more sacks last year with more time at DE.

However, it is creating more opportunities for others to get to the QB.

And theres a reason we have scouts and defensive coordinators in the booth.

Are you saying we are so ignorant we dont have run defense calls? That all parsons does is rush qb?

Well that WOULD explain bills game.
If you have a good quarterback, he can call audibles at the line of scrimmage. As dynamic as Parsons is, you're going to account for him every time you line up.
You'd be a fool not to.
The Bills game plan was to take Parsons and the Cowboys out of the game by running the ball. If we would have taken Parsons off the line and made him play a traditional linebacker position, Josh Allen is a quarterback who could take advantage of his absence as a pass rusher.
Not all quarterbacks can do that.

L.T. was a COMPLETE linebacker. He was as good against the run as he was terrorizing qbs. His backside pursuit of rbs was amazing. And he had no problems shedding blocks and getting the tackle when offenses attempted to run directly at him as well.

Micah might be a lion when prowling for qbs. But he is a mere pup against the run. Now here is the greatest defensive player of all time showing you raw aggression and relentless pursuit against the run. Micah is not even in the same stratosphere.

I notice in many of those clips regarding LT's run defense, he's not even TOUCHED!
LT is great, and I don't want to take anything from him.
But, imagine if Parsons didn't get touched and could chase down the back out of the backfield.
Sorry, but LT's situation was different than Parsons'.

In all fairness, that is true in the aforementioned compilation.

Well, if Bo Jackson had dedicated himself to football, and not gotten injured, I'd favor him to be the best of all time. But he didn't. Bo Jackson is likely the best overall American athlete of the 20th century, bar none.
I hate to because he wasn't a Cowboy, but I agree. Awesome to watch his ability before injury.

Cocaine is a performance enhancing drug? First I have heard that.....
Really? Seriously, you don’t know how cocaine affects performance? It’s a stimulant. Of course it affects performance.

LT never disappeared so I kind of agree. I am beginning to think they should not re sign Parsons. Not because he isn’t a great player but why waste $30 million of your salary cap on a player every single officiating crew allows to be held nearly every play. If you decide to reup him, they need to be way more vocal in public about the blantant holds. Jerry should be willing to pay the fines each week until the league addresses and corrects it. He needs to just blast the videos everywhere until it’s fixed.

Bo Jackson wasn’t a star. A star remains in the sky and you can see it night after night. Bo was a comet, far outshining the stars as he shot across the athletic sky. He awed the stars, and his brightness totally eclipsed the stars. But like a comet, his appearance was brief and fleeting, leaving us wanting more, and wondering when the next comet will come around. Also, like many comets, he was a once in a century type player.

I never tire of watching Bo Jackson highlights. The only problem is that there are so few of them…

Ah, the glory of the past!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every player disappears at times. No exceptions.

LT had 8.5 sacks in 15 playoff games. I think he'd have had more if he "NEVER" disappeared.
