Parsons and Taylor should never be mentioned in the same sentence

What Parsons should be is Ray Lewis. Unfortunately, we prefer the flash of him being DE. His pass rush is great, but the elephant in the room is that he gets washed out too easily, especially on runs.

Imagine the damage Micah would do on a defense loaded like the Giants were and playing his natural position.

The man is a freak of nature.
Yup, that's what I was going to say. Put Parsons in the front 7 w/ Leonard Marshall, Jim Burt, Harry Carson, and Carl Banks and we'd be asking when he's eligible for the HOF. Parsons is the only player on our D who would even play on the front 7 of that team.

LT was surrounded by a superb cast and had great coaching

Micah is surrounded on the front seven by meh; coaching is OK to maybe better than that

THAT SAID LT was truly the better player and the edge is significant

I still think they are wasting MP by lining him up at DE on every snap.
But what's going to happen is if you put Parsons at linebacker, who's going to provide the pass rush?
Teams will just sit back and pick us off in the passing game.
Parsons' pass rush pressure helps our secondary.

We need more playmakers on the defensive line. Maybe then, Parsons can return to play his natural position.

P.S., I'm not even engaging in the MP v. LT comparison. You can't compare a player in his third year to an all-time great whose career is done and evaluated.
Rather, I'm here to debunk this notion that Parson is a "one year wonder" who hasn't been a consistent force in the Cowboys defense.
That is patently absurd!

I am going to agree with this. Taylor was a much more violent player than Micah. Micah is a soft tackler. This is not a knock because he is a product of the times, but Micah does not hit hard like Taylor. Taylor had a violence and aggression to his game that Micah does not. Micah like to win with his speed and finesse.

Hitting hard is not allowed anymore. You absolutely must take that into consideration before making this parallel. If LT came in today and played as he did, he'd be fined and then suspended.

He is not the favorite to win DPOY. He's in 9th place in sacks currently. He's not even the top candidate on his own team IMO.
If you did some research you’d see that he currently is the slight favorite over Myles Garrett for DPOY. Your opinion doesn’t matter

Parsons isn't in the same air as Taylor. I agree. Micah vanishes too much and talks too much. LT talked and he backed it up. He was feared. Nobody is shaking in their boots over Micah. They use his aggressiveness against him and he tires himself out or runs himself out of the play. His gap integrity is lacking at times.

I just want Micah to ball out, not be the X (twitter) champ.

L.T. was a COMPLETE linebacker. He was as good against the run as he was terrorizing qbs. His backside pursuit of rbs was amazing. And he had no problems shedding blocks and getting the tackle when offenses attempted to run directly at him as well.

Micah might be a lion when prowling for qbs. But he is a mere pup against the run. Now here is the greatest defensive player of all time showing you raw aggression and relentless pursuit against the run. Micah is not even in the same stratosphere.

How was life without Ware? Terrible, and that's what life is going to be without Parsons. People are always quick to get rid of our best players. You guys pushed Ware right out the door, and then he went and won a Super Bowl. When was the last time our team, our fans did that? Dumb fans

Parsons is not the same player as Parsons when we're losing vs. when we're winning. His body language is not the same, he doesn't seem the same. LT's mentality was I am going to make a play and change the game in my team's favor, I don't see that with Parsons. When we are up two scores though he's a beast. Dak is sort of the same way being ahead vs. behind. It's why when I saw Buffalo up 7-0 I had a feeling we were done and sure enough we were.
Thats because our Defense's strength is against the pass and when we are up a couple scores teams are passing to play catchup and it play right into our strengths. We get behind and we are defending the run which is not particularly a strong suit of our Defense this year.

You guys? Lol. So Joe six pack on the couch pushed Ware out? You definitely have a distorted view of reality and your importance in this world.

Parson mainly cares about getting to the QB cuz that is where the $$ is made. The more sacks the more bills.
