You said you wished the coaches preached stopping the run. I said nothing about Mr. Parsons.
You said it. Not me.
I said nothing of the sort nor could it even be construed as such in the most wild and extreme analysis of what anyone said.
I said that I am glad Parsons called out the team for its sometimes lack of toughness. That he directly said that the team needs to stop letting the opponent take its lunch money.
That is something I am 100% behind, and I feel, rightly or wrongly that that's been an attitude that's been lacking. Many of us have pointed that out in the Phillips/Garrett era. It's persisted to last year when the 49ers bashed the Cowboys in the mouth and took their lunch money.
Of course the Cowboys coaches want the run stopped, but do you feel they've instilled a sense of toughness in many of the years since Parcells?
If you feel this team is one that is resilient and can get punched in the mouth and get up and respond, that's an interesting take. I respect you for having it but I don't really agree.
This team has had a sense of entitlement, as Parsons pointed out, that has rarely been dissuaded and it leads them to "Eat the cheese". At least this is what I feel and there are a lot out there that do.
That's what Parsons was talking about. Not just "Stop the run".
