Parsons & Diggs fined for unsportsmanlike conduct

I truly hope the opposing player recovers from "flexing." That must really be horrible to deal with.
He also talked smack, though I don't know what he said. That said, these are grown men and should be able to handle it. I guess the league just doesn't want fights starting on national tv.

I mean I understand that. But corners are always shaking a finger or doing the no completion at a receiver. I still believe it’s a judgement call as it came in super late
Players have been doing it all season. The flex. I'm not sure why "taunting" is even a thing.

Talking smack is also weak. If there's a fight there's a fight, judge accordingly. But the league is turning into "Minority Report"

And they always announce these on weekends, they know people won’t pay attention

I agree, let men be men. There's already a huge deficit in that department nowadays. But the rules are there, and if you can't control yourself to keep from hurting your team, you deserve the fine.

Pretty much. Parsons fine is line with all other fines in that range. Diggs is random # no other player has been fined that amount this season.

Likely a formula based on contract

Before folks go down "that road" are these rules already on the books or did they invent them new for the Cowboys?

yeah, i knew MP would get called for it as soon as he did the Schwarzenegger pose on the eagle player. He knows better than that. Did not see the Diggs play, i had turned it off by that time. I knew this game was headed to the L column, better things to do.

The NFL lacks consistency.
Diggs gets fined for merely taking off His helmet, yet Bob Lilly got nothing for throwing His helmet half the length of the field at the end of SB V.

The NFL was so much different in Lilly’s day. Parsons and Diggs (by today’s standards) deserved the fines, but IMHO, Sirianni should have been fined also

I don’t know how the league can consider some of the things they do unsportsmanlike conduct when they allow players to orchestrate group celebrations in the end zone after making a play. In my opinion that’s unsportsmanlike conduct. I’m okay with players celebrating a good play but some of the things they’re doing are ridiculous. They used to do them after scoring a TD but now you see them after an INT. You see players all grouped together, mugging for the camera like 10 year olds. They put an end to these silly group celebrations years ago but brought them back because of fan complaints. I personally don’t like them and wouldn’t be part of one if I was a player. No way am I going to play a game of leap frog with several teammates in front of a TV camera and start dancing around like an idiot after someone picks off a pass.
