The rule is it is a penalty for
:
Removal of his helmet by a player in the field of play or the end zone during a celebration or demonstration, or during a confrontation with a game official or any other player.

I don't know if anyone caught it but in the same game Fletcher Cox removed his helmet when coming off the field after the Cowboys were stopped on a 3rd down, which his teammates were celebrating.

yeah, i knew MP would get called for it as soon as he did the Schwarzenegger pose on the eagle player. He knows better than that. Did not see the Diggs play, i had turned it off by that time. I knew this game was headed to the L column, better things to do.

Parsons plays with a lot of emotion. Dallas Godeart is a talker. Bad combo.

The NFL was so much different in Lilly’s day. Parsons and Diggs (by today’s standards) deserved the fines, but IMHO, Sirianni should have been fined also

Maybe the league will investigate further, in game penalty stuff is pretty routine, coaches shouting obscenities is more unusual and needs a full investigative committee to be formed, which means evidence needs to be gathered, the conference room needs to be booked, those nice all-butter Danish biscuits have to be purchased and placed on plates with tasteful doilies and that Sumatran coffee has to be brewed up, all of which takes time.

I agree, let men be men. There's already a huge deficit in that department nowadays. But the rules are there, and if you can't control yourself to keep from hurting your team, you deserve the fine.

Fines have to be scaled for cap hit, or they're only a meaningful punishment for guys on the PS.
