Parsons & Diggs fined for unsportsmanlike conduct

I know when I was watching the game, before they even threw the flags, I was yelling, "NO! STOP, YOU IDIOT!!!" at Parsons, and just, "NO, YOU IDIOT!!" to Diggs. So yeah, they earned their penalties. I'm not sure if every unsportsmanlike conduct penalty gets a fine, but I imagine so.

I didn't see him flex over him... I just saw him trash talking. Which I thought that they flagged him for trash talking. Which at the time I thought was stupid.

He didn't flex "over" him. He very clearly and blatantly flexed while he was walking next to him, and jawing, while looking directly at him. I don't know whether it was just the words, just the flex, or a combination of both that drew the flag.

I don't like it but players know the rules. We have to become more discipline. Can't continue to shoot ourselves in the foot with penalties. I'm not concerned about the money, the money doesn't hurt the team. It's the yardage given up, extending drives, or throwing a monkey wrench into our own drives. That's what bothers me.

I'd rather the player pay the fine and the team not get flagged;)

Both players knew better; they are both smart players. These penalties may have hurt their team more than they realize.

I'm OK with the fines.

The NFL lacks consistency.
Diggs gets fined for merely taking off His helmet, yet Bob Lilly got nothing for throwing His helmet half the length of the field at the end of SB V.
In the old days, nfl football was real. Have you ever seen footage of Dick Butkus or Jack Lambert in their days. These guys were mean. You come their way and they would try to tear your head off. That is the game of football. These guys they got making the rules today are hurting the game. And I will add, it's getting hard to enjoy this once great game.

They seem to allow players to go back and forth when they are on equal footing.

When you decleat or dominate a player, then stand over and taunt him, they throw the flag

Players keep trying to gloat over the opponent in a subtle way - after the tackle, they stand up over the player momentarily and look down...or get up and step over the player when they don't have to.

Butkus Lambert Ben Davidson when Raiders were real Raiders and not plastic Vegas those gentlemen would not only stand over you as they knocked you to the ground they might even have growled ….if you think it’s “ ancient “ heck Ray Lewis was not extending Sunday Brunch invitation to you .

Since Jerry’s attempted palace coup of Goofella failed miserably you get the sense that JJ has zero leverage with rules committee or anything to make change . Figurehead. AL Davis better dressed .

We (as in the Cowboys) are not victims of some vast league conspiracy with the refs, Goodell, etc. I don’t like the way the taunting or unsportsmanlike conduct rules are enforced, but the fines are actually pre-determined in the league’s labor agreement with the players. Nothing “unfair” about them.

All NFL players are told verbally and in writing what the consequences and fines are for those kind of violations repeatedly.

Do I think the NFL rules for taunting are enforced consistently? No. But the players should know better. Don’t whine about something that the league has said in writing they are going to enforce. Do they miss some taunting form other players? Yes. But whining about it is like getting caught speeding and then whining when the cop issues you a ticket, “What about that other guy who was speeding?”

Jerry has spat in the eye of the League ever since they won the three Super Bowls. The NFL has been noticeably harsh to the Cowboys ever since. From poor to down right biased officiating (Bryant’s catch), strange fines for uniform violations (CeeDee Lamb) to the egregious six game suspension of Ezekiel Elliot for essentially nothing provable. I always wondered why people booed Goodell. After the ridiculous suspension of Zeke I’ll boo him too.
Strange that Odighizuwa or Kelcey wasn’t fined. Most people saw Osa’s reaction, but Kelcey was being a punk and I thought he even kicked or knees Osa while he was down. The Eagles coach not being fined is bit of a head scratcher as well.
