Does anyone else see a similarity to their games ?
Both are freakish athletes.
Both have an incredible ability to get to the QB.
Both are relentless.
Even some of there pass rush moves look the same.
What say you ?
I think Parsons might be a little better. Both can rush. But Parsons can drop into coverage and play anywhere on defense not just rush from the right side.

Kind of, in that they are both absurdly fast speed rushers.

Ware was a technician though. He had a deep bag of pass rushing moves and a high football IQ to set them up. He had the raw speed to blow around the corner, but he'd also get sacks ripping back inside or spinning off a block. The closest comparison to Ware in today's game is probably TJ Watt.

Parsons is much stronger than Ware, and if anything is even faster. He doesn't a lot of moves right now aside from an outside-in Euro step, but he wins by physically destroying everyone in front of him. The Lawrence Taylor comparisons are apt, and I don't think there's another guy in the league today who plays like he does.

Great description. It's the power that jumps out at you. Like a burst of adrenaline. Sometimes Parsons has the effect of a DT on a mission. What was that play last season where one of our DTs not only destroyed his blocker but also the QB on one play and they were both laying on the field hurt? I think it was against Washington in DC.

I think he's better than Ware. From the highlights I've seen of Charles Haley, I can see more similarities there.

If Micah continues at this pace, he’s going to leave Ware far behind and be mentioned alongside LT and guys like Deacon Jones and AD.

Ware beat the opposing OL with his first step, hand technique and amazing bend. Parsons beats opposing OL with super freak ability, hand technique that is improving on a weekly basis, intense speed and power. Parsons speed causes so many problems for the OL that they cannot keep their feet under them. He quickly gets you off balance which IMO is why can so easily push aside 330+ OL like it is nothing.

best parts to me is Quinn knows how to use him by moving him around and Parsons is getting a great coach teaching him

It's early, but I would bet that Parson's is in the conversation with the greats. I think he'll be better that Ware. Which is crazy to hear myself say.

Parsons is better than Ware. Period. But unless we get rid of dead weight like LVE and other crap, Parsons will leave seeking a Super Bowl anyway he can. The same happened to Ware. We have many great players (Larry Allen et al) that were all world that got screwed by Jerry.

People tend to forget how athletic Ware was. Watch how he contains Michael Vick to sack him 4 times in one game. He was a monster.

Parsons is better. He is clutch. Ware would disappear in big moments.

Shut up with this stupid myth. Not only did Ware end Saints winning streak in 09, he also terrorized Brady and Cam Newton in the playoffs/Super Bowl in 2015.

Stop repeating sensationalist garbage that has no basis. Bunch of little dorky Bayless' running around here lately.

Yeah, better than the Ware who had 20 and 19 sacks in a season and made all-decade team and will be in the HOF. Oh and helped, along with Von Miller, from destroying the ego and confidence of an MVP QB forever to then go on to win a Super Bowl.

He's two seasons into his career, and he's been a massive reason our defence went from being arguably the worst in the league to now one of the best and ushering in a possible return of the Doomsday if they can keep building it.

Cool,
We are blessed to have had the great pass rushers
We have had, including Parsons!!!

The reason I say what I said is because, when we got DWare, we actually had a decent defence to start with and Greg Ellis on the other side. When Parsons came in, we had the worst defence. Meanwhile, despite the rules with roughing the passer, Parsons had 13 sacks in his rookie year, per Pro Football Reference. DWare, in his rookie year, had 8.0 sacks. In his second season, DWare had 11.5 sacks. Parsons is already up to 6.0 sacks, and we're not even halfway through the season. Charles Haley, in his rookie season, had 12.0 sacks in SFO. In his second season, he had 6.5 seasons, and that's despite only playing 12 games that season. If Parsons can stay healthy, he can beat that, especially as he's already at 6.0 sacks. So, numbers-wise, his career is trending more closely with that of Charles Haley.
