Don't hate me, but I believe Dan Quinn has a lot to do with the defensive success more than Parsons.

There are many players on defense playing at a high level right now. That's Quinn.

You make Nolan the DC and Parsons and the rest of the defense would be lucky to look average. Next year when Quinn leaves will prove a lot.

As a comparison to Ware it is much too early to say. Ware proved it over a career and Parsons hasn't played enough games.

Parsons looks great now, but what if he starts getting nagging injuries that effect his play. Ware played 174 games and Parsons is at 21. That's 9+ seasons to equal Ware. There is a lot of career left for Parsons to yet be mentioned with Ware or the absolute greatest defensive players of all time.

Not similar build or game at all really,

Both great pass rushers but Parsons MLB type of instincts make him better in the run game and in the coverage. hes a better all-around player then Ware but equally dangerous defenders.

nah its in the middle i get your point but ITS Parsons who is the motor and catalyst for DQs defense and Parsons being such threat is opening up opportunities for all the other players. seriously watch closer.

Only way to know for sure let parsons be out 2-3 games and see how that pass rush looks :))

Parsons has better coaching which really helps.

Give him a few years and then the question can be answered more fully.

Right now we only have football idiots and those who suffer from the terminal disease of its always better now then it was in the past syndrome.

He's two seasons into his career, and he's been a massive reason our defence went from being arguably the worst in the league to now one of the best and ushering in a possible return of the Doomsday if they can keep building it.

Yes, he's two seasons into his career. Maybe hush up about him being better than anyone other than his peers who have had similar experience. Not try to bring down a freakin' HOF to prop up a dude who hasn't even finished his second season yet. Like holy crap.

Parsons just seems to have more Junkyard Dog in him, stronger, faster and great moves. Thank God those two corners were gone, even if they were available how the hell can you pass on a Parsons? He’s the guy I wanted from the getgo, Pitts too I will admit.

The reason I say what I said is because, when we got DWare, we actually had a decent defence to start with and Greg Ellis on the other side. When Parsons came in, we had the worst defence. Meanwhile, despite the rules with roughing the passer, Parsons had 13 sacks in his rookie year, per Pro Football Reference. DWare, in his rookie year, had 8.0 sacks. In his second season, DWare had 11.5 sacks. Parsons is already up to 6.0 sacks, and we're not even halfway through the season. Charles Haley, in his rookie season, had 12.0 sacks in SFO. In his second season, he had 6.5 seasons, and that's despite only playing 12 games that season. If Parsons can stay healthy, he can beat that, especially as he's already at 6.0 sacks. So, numbers-wise, his career is trending more closely with that of Charles Haley.
I like them all, but Parsons is special!

I hope Jerry does whatever is needed to keep DQ
Even if that means offering him the HC job here.
No disrespect to Mac, but DQ is just that valuable.

FWIW, Patrick Surtain is already a top 5 corner in the league. He's a beast.

Parsons makes game changing plays and he’s made our defense great. DWare had a lot of empty sacks and we never had a good defense with him. I’m certainly not saying he wasn’t a great player because he was but he never took our defense or team to another level. We’re currently sitting here right now 4-1 with a backup QB because of Parsons and our defense. Some are calling Parsons the best player in the entire league. DWare never reached that level. I can’t recall any Cowboys player in the history of the franchise reaching that level. Micah Parsons is the talk of the NFL.

With his success this year with the defense it will be impossible to retain him as a coordinator.

If Dallas has a successful season it will be hard to make a change at head coach also.

I'm in the camp that Quinn will leave after this year. He needs to strike while the iron is hot.

Well if he leaves it would be to our detriment.
Hope he stays somehow, but I agree it does not look
Promising :(

Their games are different to me. D ware will be a hall of famer. He did it year after year and had longevity. if Parsons does he probably will as well.
