The sad thing is that this is verifiable wrong. Just take the time to go to any site that splits out stats by quarters and/or downs, and you will see Ware had PLENTY of sacks in the 4th Quarter AND on 3rd Down.
The problem with the perception of Ware is that he never "lead the team to any playoff success".
Yet, he usually did more than his part. Like against Seattle, on 1st-&-Goal from the 1, after a DPI call, he tackled Shawn Alexander for a 7 yard loss. That ended up leading to a 4th down attempt from the 2 by Seattle where the D did not allow the completion. Turnover on Downs. Of course, on the VERY FIRST offensive play by Dallas, Terry Glenn fumbles the ball for a safety and gives it right back to Seattle. The D just played their butts off to keep the lead, only to be hung out by the offense by not even giving them time to get a drink of water. Of course Seattle scores on the drive when the defense was wiped out, and then the ST had a chance at the end, but there was a shiny ball that had other plans.
It will be very, very sad that IF Parsons never wins a Super Bowl with Dallas, how the fans will "remember" how he "barely had any crunch time sacks" either.
Yet, as long as he can stay healthy, it looks like he will be right up there with the best defenders the Cowboys ever had, regardless of rings or not.
But, since he didn't win a ring in Dallas, and regardless if he is a HOF player and one of the best to ever play in Dallas, fans will say he was "never clutch" in Big D.
