"I'm about to say something that goes against everything I believe ... I can't believe I'm going here. I can't believe I'm about to say this. The Dallas Cowboys need to trade Micah Parsons," Canty said on Tuesday morning's Unsportsmanlike.

Canty cites Parsons' "off-the-field behavior" as the reason.

"You don't get closer to winning championships by getting rid of those players, typically," Canty said. "But when you got somebody that has been as vocal as he has. That has, at various points, gotten himself into trouble with his podcast. Saying certain things about his teammates, about the league, leaving guys out of lists when it comes to top-rated quarterbacks.

"There's an opportunity for the Dallas Cowboys this offseason to show the rest of the locker room that our culture matters."

Except we saw our defense without Parsons on the field this year. Not good at all. Only way I trade him is if we can get Garrett or another proven pass rusher. Or get at least 3 first.

I have to wonder why Parsons would want to stay at this point. Could go to a contender.

I don’t think you do it. It would be nice to have 3 firsts or even 5 seconds. It’s fun to think about an OG, RB, DE, DT, LB….that rebuilds the team but you likely whiff on a couple of those picks. If you want to take 3 firsts and a 2nd to move up for the two best DEs in the draft maybe then you have something.

Perfect media spin for the Jones. Keeps them in the news, makes Jerry sound like the big paying hero, when he announces the extension......and he delays it long enough to miss out on the Tier 1 FA's.
