Parsons Trade Discussed Internally

They will never get that for Parsons
I think they will, especially on a team with a 3-4 defense. Parsons much better than a lot of you are giving him credit for. Literally overnight, we went from the worst defense in the NFL to most feared pass rush in NFL because of #11. Sometimes feels like no one will ever get the fans happy.

Don’t get me wrong I know Parsons is a great player. I just think that is a big haul and we are talking Jerry Jones here. Plus the contract situation is in flux and is it the Cowboys that are leaking this “news”. If so now the league knows they are sellers. Never underestimate the stupidity of Jerry.

I've never understood why this part matters. It still comes down to how many teams are in the bidding and how much they want the player. Teams would know the Cowboys are shopping Parsons the second they call to discuss a trade, so why does it matter if it gets leaked ahead of time?

Its like the Amari Cooper situation all over again. Everyone said the low return was because the Cowboys leaked that they wanted to move him, but I think it had a lot more to do with a lack of interest from other teams in taking on a bigger contract right before free agency started.

Trading Parsons and getting at least a couple of first round picks back should be easy even for Jerry to not mess up.

I don’t disagree at all. A couple picks sure but these guys were talking 1s and 2s. I just don’t see it.

Not a snowball’s chance in hell any team gives up draft capital for Micah Parsons.
Just need to float the idea, and see what interest there is. Any real GM should have an idea what their players are worth in trade value.

Get rid of him. Asap. No one who says they're the leader of a team speaks like this. F Parsons.

I love Parsons but I would trade him in a heartbeat for the right price. I predict he will get injured next season. 350 lb O lineman gonna take its toll on him. He's quick but too smallish to hold up long-term.

Yeah, he's a different player in games 1-8, than through 9-17...

Our last two first rounders are terrible but yah let’s trade him for picks. Some fans want to be bad to curse the jones boys and the cowboys I swear.

Hmm...imagine the front office discussing how to run the business and manage assets. "Internally".

I don't think business execs are supposed to do this kind of thing.

Its not like our coaching staff knows how to use him.

A lot of people say this also criticize the Lance trade. Oh man...if we only had that 4th rounder we coulda been somebody!

Yeah Fish is just reporting on espn story few months back, and this one you linked.

I read it, and it is about all the top pass rushers are basically available if some team has the cap room and wants to go for them.

My thought is how about trading parsons, or set up a deal, while at same time trying to get one of these other top guys,
who are IMO better than Podcast Parsons! (my new handle for him)

Who would you rather have Parsons or
TJ Watt
Myles Garrett
Max Crosby
Trey Hendrickson
Aidan Hutchinson is possible , but he will probably stay with lions, unless they low ball him, or they dont offer him a new deal soon.

they will all cost about the same. also if you want a great defense, keep parsons and get 1 of those other guys.
Then they would have one on either side.

Chris Canty joins this chorus

https://athlonsports.com/nfl/dallas...ed-culture-espn-chris-canty?utm_source=Pushly

"I'm about to say something that goes against everything I believe ... I can't believe I'm going here. I can't believe I'm about to say this. The Dallas Cowboys need to trade Micah Parsons," Canty said on Tuesday morning's Unsportsmanlike.

Canty cites Parsons' "off-the-field behavior" as the reason.

"You don't get closer to winning championships by getting rid of those players, typically," Canty said. "But when you got somebody that has been as vocal as he has. That has, at various points, gotten himself into trouble with his podcast. Saying certain things about his teammates, about the league, leaving guys out of lists when it comes to top-rated quarterbacks.

"There's an opportunity for the Dallas Cowboys this offseason to show the rest of the locker room that our culture matters."

Gotta say that the more i hear about Eburflus as DC the less i understand why he was hired

The guy is basic vanilla bend dont break passive defense. Will line up Parsons at a predictable DE spot to get beat up

I dont want to say I hate the hire but i do hate the hire
