It came out they were taking T-Mac at 12 if he fell. Golden was never considered a top 15 pick until he ran that 40 time and many thought he was a reach at 12. Savion Williams was being projected as a RB and project WR. They tried to sign Cooper Kupp in fa and were involved with trading for Pickens. How much more evidence do you need that they aren't sold on Tolbert? He is a #3 at best where Mingo is probably more valued inside their building.
I didn't say they were sold on Tolbert., but the fact that they've made no moves, tells me they're willing to wait and see how this group improves with this new scheme.
do you not understand that do you understand this is not last year, by all your posts i'd say you don't understand we have a different coaching staff ,that has a different vision for this team, and we'll look at every single player on this team and utilize them differently, there will be no dead weight..
some of these guys considered you know in that thread pet cat guys that have been hanging on at the fringe are going to be cut..
there's going to be a surprise player on this team by the way we brought in a free agent wide receiver, I know he may not even make the team, but what if he's actually good enough but these guys are going to improve how much more evidence do you need the fact that they haven't made a move yet that it's not as big a priority as they made a sound out loud to gaslight fans like you and get you excited just to do nothing what happened to these "two big trades in the works"..
I'm not saying we don't need to address it, but how many times I'm going to tell you Cooper Kupp was never worth the money he just got, one of his worst seasons last year he started to become injury prone ,his stats last year did not stack up as a guy you could depend on ,and I just mentioned all the other ones none of them had better numbers than Tobert last year what if he's ready to take the next step what if this undrafted free agent from Oregon is actually good?
They need the reps that is what otas are for that are what mini camps are for then you go into training camp you start to see who's picking up the offense and how this thing starts to come together and that's when we'll find out in some preseason games..
if there's anything to any of these people on this team if they need to bring in somebody, that's fine ,but these somebody's were talking about again they did not have years last year that Were better than Tolbert, that's what I'm trying to tell you the options we have at this moment with free agents or possible low hanging fruit trades are not much of an improvement other than the name on the back of their jerseys...
GO look at all their numbers, Samuel's, Michael Gallup ,Brandon Cooks, cooper kupp, amari Cooper and Keenan Allen, all their numbers were some of the worst of their careers some of them have had the last couple of years on a decline somehow you think those are an improvement because of the name on the back of their jersey that they're going to come here and be better?
I'm saying is yes, they're still considering bringing in outside help, but these players were talking about and they probably have woken up to that idea they're not that much better than what we have on this staff right now..
so maybe we need to wait till another one becomes available in a trade that makes sense for the Cowboys or one that's going to be released but you're making something seem larger than it is because
if it was a priority, it would have already happened.
You're making excuses, matthew Golden would have been an instant improvement at number two here, if they would have drafted him in the first round if they really wanted a receiver they would have moved down and got Matthew Golden later, and not picked a guard, if it was that big a deal, they'd have got a receiver in the 2nd or 3rd round ,they didn't..
they didn't even do it with running back, we were all fooled, and we're still being fooled but I'm telling you right now if you be patient, we may have the players here that are as good or better than what's out there right now, as veterans go...
To be honest I'd prefer they bring in a veteran corner over a receiver right now, I believe the offensive scheme in the play calling and the improvement of what we have and what we brought in in free agency Paris Campbell and as well as the development of Tolbert Turpin maybe one of the other guys you don't know they can't take the next step..
I don't trust what we have at corner at all, we don't have a clear number one corner, I mean you can call bland that if you want but really you need three of those right ,most of them coming off injuries...
In my opinion we are better at running back and receiver than we are corner... If I had to make a choice, it would be get a veteran corner to bring in here that can actually play.
