man were his catches pretty, he needs to get a gameball, no trap catches just hand to hand tip to tip beautiful...

Crayton's hands look to be back - broke a finger last year and that may have accounted for the few drops he had as he has typically demonstrated great hands throughout his career here.

That one he caught that was almost tipped for really great. His vision had to have been obstructed on that play.

Yes, Crayton has developed into a very solid #2 receiver.

Personally, I think he has the best hands on the team and I felt this way last year as well.

Crayton is on a mission to make up for that playoff game. That's a good thing.

Patrick Crayton has gotten better every year.

I expect more of the same.

I think it was a dislocation, but yeah the whole offense looked good today. Glad to see we haven't lost anything there.

And the defense was very, very solid.

If not for the penalties, it would have been a brilliant game.

It's good to see Crayton come out and catch some passes including that really tough one. It has to be a big boost to his confidence after the drop in the playoffs.

I think Crayton can be poised to do even better on his season last year.

but he's a perfect #3, he reminds me of slightly more athletic Kmart.

I agree, he would be a much better #3, probably one of the best in the league...

that being said, the loud mouth played great today!

Crayton deffiently stepped up, and showed us how he should have played in the playoffs last year!!

But for a couple of JOKE penalties against Dallas (the PI call on TO comes to mind) and a rare dropped ball by Witten, we would have scored even more. I'd love to have a stable full of #1 WR's but I'm comfortable with Crayton as our #2. Remember, we set all kinds of records last year with TO and Crayton as our WR's.

yeah. he was terrific this afternoon. and I liked how he flexed after every catch :laugh2:

Playoff performance still on Patrick Crayton's mind

Tim MacMahon E-mail News tips

The Cowboys' Pro Bowl skill players performed like guys who will be headed back to Hawaii.

Tony Romo threw for 320 yards while completing 75 percent of his passes. Marion Barber rushed for 80 yards and two TDs on 16 carries. Terrell Owens had five catches for 87 yards and a TD (and thought he should have been credited for another score). Jason Witten caught six balls for 96 yards.

But Patrick Crayton's performance was pretty darn good, too. The goat of the playoff loss to the Giants caught six passes for 82 yards, including one spectacular catch on a ball behind him when he was tightly covered.

Crayton thought about his crucial drop against the Giants every time he caught passes during the off-season. It still weighs heavily on his mind.

"It doesn't wash it away," Crayton said of starting a new season with a good game. "It's a start, but it's still there."

Most underrated player on this offense.

I agree...never gets any credit, but you watch the games and there he is getting open and making YAC...

You cant have allpros at every position...ultimately every championship team needs to have a number of Patrick Crayton's on it

I was SOOOOOO thrilled that he did well today. I'm hoping he does this all year long so that he can shut up all the cry babies that wanted to hang him for one bad game.

I still think he makes a better 3rd wideout than a 2nd, but he's definitely turning into a steady target out there. Not that he wasn't already, but he sure seems to be improving every year.
