And everybodys favorite number 2 reciever Roy Williams was running wrong routes in Detroits loss to Atlanta. He is by far the worst player people want to replace Crayton.

I'm increasingly of the opinion that you've never really paid any attention at all to PC prior to his drop in the playoffs last year. Other than Witten, PC is about as clutch a player as we've got right now.

I forgot their is another Crayton supporter in this forum besides me.

I still believe he's young and dynamic, and most importantly he wants to win... he's gonna be real good real soon if you ask me. He'll get better with every game.

There's not all that many of us, which befuddles me. PM me your address and I'll send you a cool PC armpatch. All the cool kids are getting them.

He's developing into a Heinz Ward type of player. Just not on the same trajectory, and on a team with a lot of other flamboyant and explosive offensive talents.

Yeah I was just telling my bro-in-law he reminds me of Heinz a little.

He really looked good on Sunday, and although everyone loves to forget it, he looked really good last year too. But you make a mistake and everybody forgets the 50 catches you did make.

He'll make them eat crow this year, and he's already started serving it up in game one. I hope he catches the big one in the Superbowl, and then I can rub it in extra good.

Lets all pray Miles Austin gets healthy so he can be our #2 deep threat and move Crayton to the slot. Imagine how scary our O would be, assuming Austin is the real deal.

I completely agree with this. Has nothing to do with how many balls Crayton catches but really, more to do with how best to make opposing defenses play the entire field. I really hope Miles becomes all his very substantial abilities suggest he can be.

Yes I did, I loved what he did to the Rams and when I saw him destroy the Giants in the medowlands it was awesome. But that drop when I was there killed me. and his mouth bragging was the capper.
I'm really soured on him. Thats all, I need to see him perform in the playoffs,.

The drop *killed* me, too, but WRs are going to drop balls, and not all of their drops are going to come at opportune times. Crayton drops fewer than most.

He was money in Buffalo last year under some pretty trying circumstances, and he's won his share of games for us and converted his share of third and forth downs. If jawing before or after games is how he gets focussed, more power to him.

I dont think its knee jerking.

He gets better every year and if you watched him last year he was pretty darn good.

Crayton just needs to let his play/hands do the talking.

IF he starts talking trash then he will get a target on his back. In the playoff - loser go home so you dont want to give ANY advantage to opposition.

He can do some great things this year. Just "...walk the walk"... leave the former out of it.

In reality, the knees are standing still, but it sure seems like they are jerking when you're head has to snap around at the same time you're backpedalling.

that is true

but people say he's a #2, when in fact, he's a #3 in reality

Actually, he's been a #2 in reality for the last two years. Some people think he'd be better as a #3, but that doesn't make it so.

Patrick Crayton is a #2 receiver. He had a breakout season and 50 receptions and 7 TDs for a converted "slash" guy is nothing to sneeze at especially when you consider he is playing with Marion Barber, Jason Witten and Terrell Owens, all Pro Bowlers.

Now if you want to start ranking #2 receivers, that is another story, but if you compare him to other #2s, I bet the production is similar.

FWIW, here's how he ranked last year compared to all receivers. Note that this includes TEs.

Avg: 29th
TDs: T20th
Rec: 62nd
Yds: 51st
Yds/game: 55th
20+ plays: 37th

Romo looks at TO, Witten and then Crayton

so Pat's a #3

I'm willing to bet that every play doesn't progress in that order. If it does, then I would like to be a DC now.
