It sounds really stupid on the surface, him taking less money to go to a worse team... but I'm telling yall Jason Garrett has to be a turn off for theae free agents. He's so awkward, dorky and weird. I couldn't imagine being a free agent listening to Jason Garrett saying "we really like you as a football player" with that creepy smile on his face.

That's...not it at all.

How come every player that we miss out on I read this exact same comment about?

Because most of them are scrubs. However, that doesn't mean they aren't better than our scrubs.

Matt Moore ... scrub. Better than Kellen Moore? Likely.

Nolan Carroll, Leon Hall, Patrick Robinson? Mostly scrubs at this point. Better than Carr and Claiborne? Likely.

Chris Long at this point also is likely a scrub, but he's better than air, which is what he was facing for a roster spot. Is he better than Mayowa? That remains to be seen.

Morris might be a scrub to if his dropping average is an indication, but like with the others, it was worth a low contract to see what they can give you.

The only one who wasn't a scrub was Thornton. He's a legitimate starter who got a legitimate contract.

So the Dallas offer was the stalking horse and he took 500K more to sign in Indy. Highest bidder won.

The entire situation was odd, Robinson was eating lunch with Pagano yesterday in Boca and was apparently sold before even going to Indy.

Further, his new agent stood the Cowboys up Tuesday night in Boca according to Clarence Hill, the entire situation was strange.

Honestly, this really does not seem like it was all about the money.

Guess those phone calls fron Garrett were not doing the trick.
Garrett: Hello? Patrick, this is Jason Garrett, head coach for the Dallas Cowboys, how are 'ya?

Robinson: Doing great, coach. Just great. Love the facilities, Coach Rich has been great and I--

Garrett: Patrick, Patrick. Can you hear me? Okay, we're excited to have you here. We are in Boca Raton. Oh, I mean there.

Robinson: Well yeah, I was kind of expecting you know, my agent, said--

Garrett: We think you are the right kind of guy so we think he can help our team. We have a process. A process. You ready?

Robinson: Coach? I, well, uh--

Garrett: Part of the Dallas Football Cowboys. Ready to play football. In Dallas. The right way. Yeah, you ready? {creepy grin}

Robinson: {long silence}

Garrett: Patrick. Patrick? You ready to go to work as a member of the Dallas Football Cowboys?

Robinson: {dead signal}

Garrett: {to Stephen} Sounds like I lost him.

Cowboys taking more L's than Meek Mill this offseason - a reference no one will get.

A guy taking less money to play for a team like the Colts - we have have hit a new low, and I haven't even been stressing this offseason.

Maybe he was worried he couldn't beat out the mighty Brandon Carr or the legendary Morris Claiborne.

I'm not heartbroken over losing Patrick Robinson, but I would like to know why other organizations have their HC out recruiting free agents and ours is in Boca Raton for the OWNERS meetings.

Would it have made a difference? I don't know, but it couldn't have hurt, and could have sent the wrong message to Robinson. as in, you couldn't be bothered to stay back and meet with me.

Every coach in the league was at the owner's meetings. Garrett was the host of the NFC breakfast. Keep pace.

Oh well - it'll all be for naught when Romo and Dez abuse him for 3 TDs in the Superbowl. ;)

So does everybody not know how to read or what? He is getting more money from the Colts, not significantly more, but still more.
