I've seen some that said none should be first round picks. I will defer to the Cowboys draft board. If they aren't up there, they shouldn't be taken automatically.

SJ recently commented that Goff would be a better pick at 4 over Ramsey due to long term ramifications.

How many times has elliott played against alabama? 1? Maybe 2? What an odd argument to make.

You are the one making the silly argument that OSU was like a pro team playing against collegians.

Michigan, Michigan St and Alabama will all send plenty of defenders to the pros and those are just some of the top guys OSU faced.

Elliott will do great in the NFL.

Stephen Jones says the Cowboys would take franchise QB over impact player with 4th pick

"But there is also a good chance that either Cal’s Jared Goff or North Dakota State’s Carson Wentz —the top two quarterbacks in the draft — would still be on the board as well.

As of now, Jones said a franchise quarterback trumps all.

"I mean you have to look at it," Jones said. "You’re not naive to it, but if you have the opportunity in this league, in our situation, to get a potential franchise quarterback, then you have to make the investment. You have to have the patience. You sacrifice maybe that opportunity that maybe is impactful right now."

That makes sense IF the Cowboys believe a "franchise" QB is there at #4.

Dude, you've got to learn to read between the lines. That's "Jonesspeak." They would take a franchise QB...but the real question is, do they think either guy is a franchise QB? He never said that Goff would be a better pick over Ramsey. You've been sucked.

I'm sorry, still missing the part where he says Goff is a better pick than Ramsey. He said a franchise QB is a better pick than an impact player. Which means absolutely nothing.

Just having to agree,.,but liking the prospect of some old school Cowboy play.

I have always been told that you want your first round picks to come in and be able to contribute immediately. I know that with the influx of juniors and reduction in number of practices, finding players that are well prepared is more difficult than ever. Bosa is only 20 years old and a junior.

Yet he is being portrayed as having no upside as if Marinelli wouldn't have anything to teach him or that he is at his physical peak.

Someone is funneling horse****.

To get a "Potential" franchise QB. That's what the text says. And Wentz, Goff are potential franchise QBs. At least that is what most think.

Just because that's what we ham & eggers think, that doesn't mean that's what the Cowboys think.

Bobby Carpenter type meanness?

Sorry, doesn't deserve a response...and he had to work his way out of the league after about five seasons.

At this point after signing of Morris and rest of free agency... I think it's down to Ramsey or bosa whoever falls.

I read it from an article linked on this website, looking right now.

Until the Cowboys say it... I won't believe anything.

Well, you will never know in advance if the player is a franchise QB. You know it when he plays for you in this league for a while. So even if the Cowboys would say that the player is a franchise QB I wouldn't believe it until I see it and for that you have to draft him first.
