Oh nos!!!!!!

If Dallas brought in a guy cut for a DUI, it would be plastered everywhere and MADD would be picketing the Star and the Stadium. New England does it and it's a brilliant move.

I am thinking there were way more issues with FLoyd than just a DUI for the Cards to give up on him.

I will admit, when I heard Michael Floyd had been released it caught my attention. Interesting player, talented but underperforming, a possible upgrade over Butler, Lucky and Williams though??? But I figured Floyd doesn't fit the "right kind of guy" thing...and that Dallas would be crushed by the media if they signed him....bringing on another criminal so to speak!!! Add in the possible suspension by the NFL for his actions ...

Then all of a sudden the Pats swoop in and grab the guy and nothing said...no media blasting them, no looming suspension...nothing!!! LOL, funny how twisted this league is..... maybe our two-way radio didn't work to grab him when we had a chance!!
Claim order goes by record. We're tied with NE. I don't know the tie breaker but they might be ahead of us in the claim order.

I think he's a horrible fit in NE because he can't get open. Might be effective down the seam, like Gronk was, but he doesn't really fit what they generally do with WRs.

He'd fit right in with our DUI QB. Maybe it's not Floyd's first offense, but if it is more similar to Dak's dui, I'd have no problem with it. It's awfully easy to get a DUI without being very impaired, though I understand Floyd was passed out.

No one should drink and drive, but everyone has done it, and I feel very lucky to have avoided such trouble when I was younger.

Is it not based on last years order. Or does that go away after the trade deadline and all those dates?

Perfect fit.

I've been thinking before he was even cut where he could go next year and I felt like the Patriots would be perfect because he would give them that vertical threat down the sideline.

Good move by them and they are one of the very few teams that won't get killed for it. They can do no wrong according to the media.

Dak doesn't have a DUI. He was found not guilty in court and the breathalyzer tests came back invalid so everyone needs to stop saying the guy has a DUI. He's never had one.

Floyd fell asleep in his car passed out at a street light.

He wasn't producing, he's got a lingering hamstring injury, he's a free agent after the season, and they aren't making the playoffs anyways.

You don't have to be drunk to get a DUI. I've never had one, never even been pulled over by a policeman other than for speeding, but I've been behind the wheel many times after a couple drinks with dinner or at a party, and sometimes that's all it takes.

I'd have no problem had Dallas brought in Floyd. In most professions you don't lose your right to earn a living just because you made a legal mistake like a DUI or even being accused of domestic abuse. I'm not soft-peddling those offenses or drug offenses or anything else that's harms or could harm others. There should be legal ramifications and subsequent required treatment, but I don't think you should lose your right to earn a living in your profession unless there are multiple offenses, a lack of remorse, or a loss in productivity.

Ya no. Ive never been drunk, much less drunk and drove.
I think that's very admirable, but I'm sure you also know just how rare that is. I've never smoked weed in my life, never even tried it, and I know that definitely makes me a little unusual.

I won't be surprised if he does next to nothing and people are shocked by how he didn't turn into anything in New England.

If we had taken him, we would have heard no end of it.

With Big Bill in charge in NE, I predict he'll be on a short leash. His stay in NE may be a very short one.
