Gronk was right next to the guy who intercepted the ball when he was bear hugged and pushed back. I have never, ever seen a call like that.

When I said that weeks ago people took serious offense. I forgot what The discussion was.

Well, I made the comment within the Panthers/Patriots game thread....so all of the people we are talking about probably didnt see my comment because they didnt click on this post. :D
Like I said, if it doesnt pertain directly to the Cowboys, a lot of posters have no interest or knowledge.

No doubt. The crybabies at least deserved an explanation though.. Lol

They do it all the time, picking up flags.

Again, face guarding is legal.

If there is contact it's Pass interference unless it's uncatchable... It wasn't close, not matter how you spin it. It was under thrown. No way Gronk adjusts for that ball.

If this wasn't the Patriots, the ESPN guilty feast would be silent... Hell, if that was the Cowboys, they'd be like, the refs were on it..

This is last play syndrome.

Where was the 15 yard penalty on the leg-whip that took out Carolina's best pass rusher for a big chunk of the game?

It wasn't a convincing win by Carolina by any means, but it wouldn't have been convincing for either team. Patriots got some breaks too.

I agree with your post...with one small exception. I do think this was a convincing win for Carolina. Coming off a 7-9 season and a very slow start this year....to move to 7-3 and make it 6 wins in a row by defeating Brady/ Belichick- I think its pretty big. Especially by having your young QB put a drive together like he did to win the game. Panthers havent been considered a quality team because their defense has done most of the work. But tonight, as their head coach said in the post game presser, this win gets credited to the offense.

They're definitely a quality team. I just meant that it wasn't a game where one team showed clear superiority over the other. In the unlikely event that they play again this season, it could go either way.

It's not even close to catchable either.. No matter how you try and spin it.. Correct call

No, terrible call and should have been defensive holding at the very least. Your bias shows because you hate the Patriots, but if Witten had been held like that would you still think it was a good call. The NFL is dirty with officiating bias.

I disagree. I think most of the country see the Patriots much like they do the Cowboys. You either love em or hate em. Very little middle ground with these two teams. Most people love it when they get the short end of the stick by the officials as they do with us.

I don't want to hear anything about that last play... Jerry Reese explained it perfectly, NO flag!

I was rooting for Carolina to upset the Pats in this game but I thought the last play looked like something that normally gets called in today's lame NFL. Gronk may have been able to adjust to that pass but dude was in his way for a bit. Carolina played a good game though and I don't necessarily think the pats got robbed. Surprising they would pick up the flag though.

It was still holding, regardless of anything else, unless there is a new rule that says it's OK to hold receivers in the end zone while the ball is in the air. IMO.

The Patriots are getting a taste of what the Cowboys get every game.

See Romo getting horse collard with 1 min left in the game and no flag.

How bout Brady running off the field after the game...what a baby...stay and take it like a man

If a game-deciding, bad call like that was made on my team, then I'd for sure want my QB or coach to get in the face of the ref. I don't know what Romo's reaction would have been, but I doubt he would have chewed the ref's butt like Brady did.

I am sure all Garrett would have done is stand there and clap.

Anybody mention how belicheat got lucky on clock management? A penalty and the Ginn quick TD is the reason the Pats were left w/ any clock time. Belicheat let precious seconds tick off the clock. Had that been Garrett, how would Zoners reacted?....

Had that been the Cows, one of our defenders tackles Ginn at the 1 yard line, and they bleed the clock to :22 seconds. Even when pats make bluder, they're still luckier than us!

They'd be up in arms, of course. As they would have been for the two stupid penalties on Aqib Talib and Logan Mankins.

I loved this. I was freaking laughing out loud as I read it. Truth.
