Patriots Sign Isaiah Stanback to Practice Squad

I didn't think he would be eligible, figured he was active in too many games.

They signed DeAngelo Willingham to their practice squad, too.

I would have kept him.

they see something in him. will probably become a top 10 wr in the next few years.

A top 10 #5 WR.

The don't think he even wants to be a WR. Good luck motivating a guy like that on top of developing someone who can't stay healthy.

They'll trade him to Al Davis for a first-round pick.

So I guess Stanback will get a Superbowl ring before Roy Williams.

:bang2:

Even if Stanback managed to somehow put it all together, I still wouldn't blame Jerry & co. for releasing him. Stanback had enough time to develop and distinguish himself and it has not happened. The way this team is constructed particularly at WR, the Cowboys need a guy they can depend on to be a viable option at WR if needed. Ogletree in 2 months has proven to be that guy, Stanback in 3 seasons has not. Stanback has worked hard and at least tried to do the right things as a member of the Cowboys, so I wish him good luck and health.

wow, didn't think he was eligible. wonder if we offered him a spot or just figured it was time to cut bait?

Jason La Canfora, of the NFL Network, reports the New England Patriots have signed free-agent WR Isaiah Stanback (Cowboys) to their practice squad. The team is planning to move him to quarterback.

Looks like he won't be a WR for them.

i still think we should have brought him in as a QB from the beginning.
