this would be a lot funnier if posted on a pats board, but to be honest, it's A rod by a country mile

There likely isn't a bigger fraud in the history of all professional sports than A rod
A-Rod did what many other players did in the Roid era. You might as well right off 30% of the players in that era if your going to write off A-roid.

It's not about the PSI, what are you so confused about?
This easily could have been simply a fine.

Has anyone considered that we may never know the extent of the Patriots cheating maneuvers? What have they done (and are maybe still doing) that they haven't been caught doing yet?

It's a very safe bet that part of BB and companies preparation was how to gain unfair advantages... In individual plays, illegal plays/ maneuvers in the field, equipment manipulation, etc... Etc...

If they have been caught twice already... Let's says once 2001 there could be more than a few instances where they were not caught.

Again, like AROD.... BB, Brady and Pats org legacy is tainted! Right or wrong, like it or not. That's just fair! And it is brought on by their own actions... no one else.

At this point I think you have to assume that the team is cheating. The team gets its personality from the QB and the HC. At this point I think there's little reason to believe that those two will cheat, whether it provides a significant advantage or not, because they haven't been punished enough. This punishment is closer to being enough then the video taping incident. The problem with this type of situation is that you have to punish enough to be felt but not enough to cripple, you don't want to effect the value of the franchise or the perceived quality of the product. I could actually see an argument, that from past acts, that the penalty to the team was too light. The money is basically irrelevant. a 1st is a big deal. By the time you get to a 4th you hope to get a rotational or backup player much of the time, not a huge impact.

Cheaters to the core both.

BSPN is covering every at bat now for A-Fraud as if him hitting #661 means anything significant.

So, are the Pat 4 Cheater SB wins more tainted or are A-Roid's HR #'s more tainted?

So, Mr. Orioles fan, is the AL East Championship the Orioles won last year tainted too now that we've all learned that pitcher Brian Matusz is a cheater?

Only to 2 crybaby Pats fans . . . . .

I'm not a Pat's fan or a Brady defender, but what's good for the goose is good for the gander. Your post implies that having a cheater contribute to the success of a team taints their achievement. Why should it be any different now that it's happened to your team? Timing kind of suck for you, huh? Having this happen so soon after running your mouth about cheaters?

Nah. I havent seen Buck Showalter get up and ramble thru a 30 min presser trying to explain how baseballs are affected by weather or deny any wrong doing or ignorance. I havent seen Brian Matusz do a presser lying about anything. Peter Angelos hasnt demanded any apologies from MLB. The Orioles have no history of cheating as a team or with players on the team. And since they dont have a history of cheating no evidence of their cheating has ever been destroyed that we know of.
So a relief pitcher had some sunscreen prob mixed with pine tar or resin like may major league pitchers do, that doesnt taint anything except a 1 run loss in extra innings.

Sounds like you're happy to put yourself in Rogah status. Thats way more tainted than anything Matusz did.

Um, what? Rafael Palmeiro was suspended for using steroids right? Or did I just imagine that? Revisionist History will always come back to bite you in the butt when confronted with the facts.

I you were even half as clever as you thot you were you would have brot up Chris Davis last year getting suspended for using adderall w/o having his medical exemption renewed.

Yes he was caught while playing, in 2005, and suspended. He was also named in the Mitchell report in 2007. It's shocking that in your defense of Palmeiro you ask "and how many other guys used in MLB?" considering that you initiated this thread by throwing Arod under the bus for his steroid use. If it's cheating for Arod to use them then it's cheating when Palmiero uses them. It's no different just because it happens to someone on a team that you root for.

I actually didn't have much of a problem with that. He had received the exemption previously, and received it again this year. I didn't view his not getting it renewed last year as trying to gain a competitive advantage.

You continue to miss the entire point of my posts. I am not here trying to defend Arod or the Pats. It just comes across as very sanctimonious for you to rant about both of them and then turn a blind eye when it turns out that your team cheats too.
