Peacock getting exclusive NFL games now

I hate this crap. It's already happened with MLB games, so of course the NFL is gonna cash in. I'm already tired of paying for 10 different streaming services, and it's only gonna get worse (and more expensive). It felt so good to cut the cord, and now it turns out instead of that one big cord, we all have a dozen small hooks in our wallets.

Peacock had a deal at the end of last year that I signed up for…a year of their service for $1.99 a month. But I’m probably not watching that game because I just don’t care. Just like I don’t care about 90% of the Thursday night games and 80% of Monday night games so I don’t watch them either, even though I have Prime where I could watch Thursdays. I have Sling Blue so that I get more viewing options without ESPN, and don’t care enough to switch to Orange for MNF unless it’s a Cowboys game. I’ve found enough really good things to watch (I’ll only subscribe to one or two other services at a time, binge watch whatever they have that’s good, then cancel them and sign up for another service). Plus more and more I’m drawn to other things that life has to offer that are more enjoyable than the watered down, over priced product that the NFL puts out now. If the league keeps charging more and more for watered down crap, I can see myself just not watching at all in a few years. That’s where I am now with MLB.

yeah but that was long time ago , and I would have used a modern name for a new streaming pay service.
How about NBC Prime something like that?

The current logo goes back nearly four decades. Versions were used at various times for decades before it. The peacock is literally their brand. The odds were excellent that it would identify its streaming service just as Disney+ incorporating the longstanding Tinkerbell arc over its logo. Brand is everything.

They replay the Prime Thursday night games immediately afterward on NFL network. I assume they will do the same thing with the Peacock game.

I dont have Prime. Last year when the Cowboys played…..I just ignored the news and watched the recorded replay the next day.

Worked fine for me and saved me money.
Of course, I have more patience than many people I suppose….

That's what I did. They aren't getting anymore money out of me.
