Penalties Aside

That's my point though...they literally got a penalty as soon as the OT started that put Dallas at the 7 yard line. That stuff hurts a offense.
That's true, they got the penalty for a push in the back which was clearly a push in the back. I guess my whole point is that Super Bowl contenders, which I still believe that we are, have to rise to the occasion and win those types of games, especially against lesser opponents.

Also an enormous amount of penalties missed besides the Raiders fumble.

It's to the point I've questioned the rule because these never get called in our favor. Ref was standing right behind Dak about 5 yards. No chance he couldn't see that.

I agree with you but I think it seems like this team has had to rise on occasion far too much this year in spite of injuries, officiating, etc.

They do, but we were also missing 4 all pro level players, who coincidentally played at 2 of the same positions.

In any event you have to overcome, and we didn't. We can make all the excuses in the world, but at the end of the day its still an L. It would be nice to have some of our starting D line back though!

As if just running the ball more will make it productive.

They way we are run bocking it seems like a wasted play to me.

The blocking is poor and Zeke is clearly limited physically. The best he can do is power thru defenders for 3-5 yards. Pollard at least has the chance to pop one every now and then due to his quickness and elusiveness. But the biggest issue is the blocking, for sure.

You have no idea what a professional QB is if you think they will never have a bad pass.

Stop it my ***. That's a catchable football. You are a Dak hater so I don't expect you to see it that way but yes you probably can't make that catch but a professional receiver should be able to.
Catchable does not mean it's likely. Every amazing catch in history was "catchable."

It's possible for that catch to be made. But the vast majority of time, it's not going to be, even by the best in the league.

There is no doubt that there were an enormous amount of penalties (28 to be exact). However, penalties did not cost us the game. The games goes into OT, ww get the ball first, so everything that happened prior to the OT is irrelevant. All we had to do was put the ball in the end zone. I am a Dak Prescott fan (maybe even a homer), but Dak did not get it done in OT. Also, I thought the McCarthy was a great hire, and I still support the coach; but the Raiders come in with the 29th rushing defense in the league, and we throw the ball 41 times and only run it 19. We have got to get back to our kind of football; and that is a physical running attack. Clearly, at this moment, Pollard is the best back!
What's clearly going unnoticed is the special teams blunder that put us on the 5 yard line.

Dak, and company, didn't get a first down which possibly cost us the game, but in actuality, the defense ALLOWED the sorry Raiders to get into field goal position to win the game. Now let me ask you this question. If our defense can't keep a team from getting into field goal position, would you say we had a good defensive game, or game-plan? We need to go heavy draft on the offensive and defensive line this next draft.

The defense stepped up and got the Raiders into a 3rd and 18.

Then the refs gifted the Raiders the game.

0-0 start of overtime and chokey, chokes and carr wins. nothing more needs to be said.. chokey!!

You lost me at "penalties didn't cost us the game," not only were there too many flags, but flags mainly happen to continue a drive, or kill one.
Or give the opponent easy 1 yd TDs and call ours back.

That pass to Noah Brown should've been caught...sure it was a tough pass but a NFL professional receiver makes that catch. If he can't then he doesn't need to be on the field.

Noah looked like a fullback trying to make that catch. No idea how he's on the field.

VOR... voice of reason. Hear this, Zeke is obviously hurt so of course Pollard is going to get the bulk of the carries and he did well for being RB2. The Cowboys should have prepared better by not even having Zeke suit up and those having Corey Clement ready to play. The Cowboys could have taken greater advantage of the Raider's statistically poor run defense.
