No way the sick jerk would show up.
With my luck the guy would use the invitation sign as proof I am the aggressor. Which I would be. He would need to stick his toothbrush up his trash to brush his teeth before I was done.ConcordCowboy;3125593 said:Of course they wouldn't.
It's always easier to kill some defenseless animal than it is to take on something or someone who actually could do something about it.

They wouldn't do it again.

We always had cats while I was growing up, ... they lived outside but they were always around when we kids were outside playing.
They had kittens once. Some neighbor kid came into our house when we were at the grocery store, and hung one of the kittens with a pipe-cleaner from the springs of my top bunk-bed.
I was 5 or 6 and was the one that found the kitten.
What a sick puke.
This was in 1959 or 60.
I ended up fighting that kid several times over several things as a few years past, but even though he was bigger than me I kicked his butt every time, made him cry and run home because he could not match the rage that I was fighting with.
We moved away, but I wonder whatever happened to that guy.
I love animals, my heart aches for your friend Hos.

I hate to say this. Several of us in the neighborhood believe it is a 14 year old boy. His first adventure in our neighborhood was to take some blue paint his parents used to paint the fence around their house and he sloshed a weird looking symbol on this rusted metal fence. Same symbol over and over. The paint trail led right back to their house and the paint matched.davidyee;3128114 said:...this person could be a child or a young teenager. The owner of the fence confronted the mother about it. She is a psychiatrist or psychologist, I cannot remember which. She defended him as a good boy and said he would never do anything wrong.
Well, this kid who won't do anything wrong burned down a different shed about 8 months ago.
Killing something seems like the next progression to some of us. Where this cat was hung in the shed is about 30 to 35 yards from his back yard.
Now it could very easily be someone who was just walking up that alley. But this kid knows about that shed. You can bet your boots on that.
Some of us are wondering what we should do. We have no evidence. Just suspicions because it seems he is screaming for attention and has a Mother who is denying there is a problem.
I fixed the hasps on that shed this morning so no one can get without literally breaking the doors to do it. I showed Dan the canon ball. He wanted it for his office. I don't blame him.
Yes, he is around. They are a strange family. They don't socialize with anyone in the neighborhood at all. They have an Irish Setter dog, named Fred, who periodically escapes. I have taken him home at least 3 times. They always act suspicious as to your motives for returning the dog. The front gate is always locked. You ring the bell and about 50% of the time no one will come even though their cars are there.vta;3129685 said:You made no mention of his father, is he around? I'm sure I don't have to tell you how to approach the kid, but maybe you can talk to him in a non-confrontational manner. Maybe a level headed adult giving him the time of day might be part of what he needs.

One time this guy who was tweaking hard on meth jumped the fence and ran through their yard. He stole a bicycle and I thought it belonged to them so I was trying to return it. A friend of theirs had just left their house. She was sure that bicycle was theirs. They wouldn't even come to the door for her. I asked her if she had their phone number and could she call them. She said, "they don't like phone calls." She wanted to take the bicycle and I wouldn't let her. Turns out it wasn't theirs. It belongs to the guy who owns the shed where the cat was hung.
The kid we suspect is aloof. You can't even be friendly to him. He is heavy for his age, has long hair that always seems unwashed, but maybe it's just unkempt, and even in the Summer he will wear a grey hoodie. About the only thing you ever see him do is ride his skateboard around the block.
This is all circumstantial evidence at best, but the kid worries me.
