A. The reason Romo has way more guaranteed money is because the Cowboys have restructured his contract several times already to create additional cap room.

B. Why does anybody care, its not your dime so who cares how much Jerry wants to pay Romo.

I don't wish to belabor the point. And I am not concerned with the monopoly money they paid Romo.

But what does Dalton's pay have to do with Tony?

I have an ex-wife. When I say she was a real pain, I mean that in the most expressive sense of the phrase.

She married some other guy, finally, who has been with her for almost a decade. There will never be logic in what one person does juxtaposed with what another does.

Personally I think he is a milquetoast and either is a wimp or blind to her anger. But he likes her.

For all I know the Bengals have a bigger idiot writing checks than Dallas.

Dalton is 25 or 26. Romo is an aging QB who is on a decline. Let's not forget that the Bengals were the laughing stock of the league before the arrivals of Andy Dalton and Green. Dalton has had the Bengals in the playoffs for 3 consecutive years. Can the same be said for Romo.. who hasn't sniffed the playoffs since the 2009 season, where he scored an astonishing THREE POINTS in a blowout loss?

I actually think the QB bubble is going to pop. I think some teams like Kansas City and Seattle were models of how to put a team together without having an expensive QB. It's a lot easier to put a defense together when you aren't paying a QB 20 million dollars a year. You can probably get 3-5 pro bowl quality defensive veterans with that kind of money, especially when you add the money you're going to spend on those positions in the first place.

You put together an offensive line and a defense, and you're going to make the QB look good, pretty much regardless of who it is. I think the league will catch on to this pretty soon. These average QBs making 20 million a year won't win anything for their teams.

Except year for year Romo is better than Dalton. We aren't paying Romo 10 years from now... We're paying him for right now, and right now he is better than Dalton.

And this is based on what? Since Dalton arrived, Bengals have been in the playoffs 3 consecutive times. This is not a coincidence and the Bengals play in a tough division. . We haven't been to the playoffs since 2009. I am taking Dalton over Romo right now.

You can't be that dense... Compare the Bengals defense to the Cowboys defense since Dalton has been there... You're out of your mind.

They also play in a division with the Steelers and Ravens. Two teams with top defenses and the Browns who have a young defense that's only going to get better. We play in one of the worst divisions in all of football.

So you think the Bengals going to the playoffs in 3 consecutive years is some sort of miraculous coincidence? And I am the one who's dense?

The fans want GMs who are looking to put together a champion. The truth is, a lot of them just want to do well enough to get another year or two in their position. Hence you sign someone like Dalton to more than he is worth.

Having a top 10 defense every year probably more than just a miraculous coincedence... and the Steelers have been garbage the last couple years. Sounds pretty dense to me...

Ok. Name the top 10 defenses of 2013. You know what... I'll go ahead and list them right here.

Seattle, Carolina, Cincinnati, Saints, 49ers, Arizona, Houston, Giants, Cleveland, and Buffalo. Top ten right here. How many of these teams made the playoffs? I can count... 1...2...3...4... a nd.... FIVE! Why didn't the other 5 make the playoffs? I mean... they have top defenses. Maybe, just maybe Dalton is actually a good QB.

This is what I don't like about this board. The Romo homers will do everything and anything to discredit other QBs. Dalton is better than Romo. Plain and simple. You can't argue how a guy who hasn't been to the playoffs in 5 years is somehow better than a guy who, since he has been drafted, has taken his team to the playoffs 3 consecutive years in a row. That is not a coincidence. They were the laughing stock of the NFL before drafting Dalton. FACT.

It;s amazing how a the Bengals going to the playoffs in back to back to back years happened the second they drafted Andy Dalton. in the 46 years they have been around, it's because of the defense? You mean to tell me the Bengals never had a top 10 defense before? It's somehow a coincidence that Dalton has taken his team to the playoffs in 3 consecutive years? This has never happened before. Of course, it's all due to the defense. LOL. This board sometimes. They discredit other QBs to defend this proven loser we have at QB. And I can't have this opinion here without being called a troll because we live in a world where Romo can do no wrong.

You seem to be having some difficulties...

Dalton is on a good team, that's why they've gone to the playoffs consistently (though they haven't won). Just having a top 10 defense but no offense, doesn't mean you're going to make the playoffs... but I having no defense at all... good chance you aren't...

Like I said... dense...

Colin Kaep's new contract opened up a can of worms that has GMs all over the league salivating... Players' agents gotta do better for their clients.... Dalton's contract is only 2 years, $25M and then it becomes pay as you go... Prices seem a lot cheaper right now with teams not having to commit as much guaranteed money. Growing trend these type of contracts happened with Tyron Smith too

In 2010 the Bengals had the 24th ranked defense (ppg), they also had no running game...
