You can’t fix everything in one year....but I do know this a 3rd pick at NT is more than any resource we’ve put to it in 15 or so years.

A huge part of our issues on D last year was a scheme our players couldn’t execute.

Slater is a legit blue chip prospect. I would still draft Pitts ahead of him, but not any of those corners or even Parsons.

Exactly who I'd pick if I just gave out $125 million in guarantees to a guy whose edge protection are both coming off major surgeries.

Unless coach Philbin, along with the likes of Steele, Knight or Neske(sp?) are your idea of long term answers and not just spot starters.

All depends on the FO's risk/reward assessment of the CB and TE payoff as compared to an OT choice and full confidence in incumbent OT starters not getting hurt again.

As last year showed again. Football is still won and lost in the trenches.

You aren't moving a Hall of Fame guard to LT. If anything, they'd probably try to move Collins to LT first.

Cowboys Zone will like the Giants and Eagles picks in the first round better then the Cowboys pick. This is gonna be a tough draft. We will probably have a chance to draft the top corner, possibly the best offensive linemen, best linebacker, and maybe best receiver. 5 quarterbacks are gonna go in the top 9.

The offensive line is about 20% of the football team. Martin was drafted in 2014. I’d say it’s not too soon to take another, especially if he’s in Martin’s class as a prospect.

1. Dallas has eleven picks - using a first overall on offense will not crush this draft.
2. Slater is considered to be the most fundamentally sound OL in this draft. He can play inside or out.
3. Arm length is a standard excuse. Martin was playing tackle like a champ on short notice. With the same short arms.
4. Pitts will be to TE's what Moss was to WR's. He is more than a TE. Will Dallas see this comparison and not make the Moss mistake again?

There are several ways to approach this draft. One pick in the first not being defense will not ruin the season.

I would not be sad at picking Surtain. But I would also see this draft start off well if Slater or Pitts were selected.

I want no part of Parsons.

As much as we need defense there just aren't many players I want to draft in rd 1 over some of these blue chip offensive guys.
I'd rather take the stud OT or TE than a good CB at 10.
