Geesh. I thought he would be a key piece to the DT rotation. So we're even weaker at DT(1T) than we all thought.

My guess is that either:
1) Brent decided he did not have the desire to play any longer
2) Brent has had another issue with alcohol or some controlled substance

Gonna guess the latter. The wording of Tim Macmahon's tweet made me think he did something.

Damn that's blows. I figured Brent would possibly be the 1-tech starter. Got to see whats the reason for this

dang i was hoping he was starting next to Craw, not another year of hayden as the starter and getting alot of snaps.

we needed to rid ourselves of atleast one "troubled" guy. Hope this is the end of his association with the Cowboys.

I'm almost 100% sure it's a relapse. I can't imagine Brent deciding to retire after all of this hard work he's put in. I'm thinking he popped dirty at probation.

Poor guy. I like him. Hope he gets his ish together.

I think it does save money, it just means the team retains his rights if he wants to come back
