Per Espn: FA Delayed 3 days...Talks to Resume

This sucks. Not only do I have to wait longer for cuts, but we would have had more time to restructure Glover!
they didn't even try....so they didn't want him.

We had no interest in restructuring Glover's contract.

Hang on while I pat myself on the back, Nors style...

Here's what I posted yesterday at 10:11 AM

I think they'll come up with a temporary solution to buy time..and then strike a deal.

I just can't see that they'll allow the chaos to happen that would if the deal doesn't get done.

Such a bunch of BS this has been from the start.

With players already cut because of this, its not fair to teams who were proactive in giving players optimum time to find a new job...

This is some serious bull****.

Oh well.

I have to admit the anarchist in me was anticipating the carnage.:eek:hboy:

Yes. Two days ago i started the thread, "seeing is believing", just knowing that the 'Skins would somehow find a way to wiggle out of this situation, and it looks as if it may come to fruition. Joe Gibbs' return has them getting away with much!!

:laugh2:

The entire situation reminds me of all the weather reports that state "Nine feet of snow tomorrow. Blizzard conditions. Cats sleeping with dogs. Commander fans IQ's breaking the 3 digit barrier...."

And then ya get up the next morning and it's drizzling.

They didn't do anything with glover because they were under the assumption that they would have less money to work with in free agency this year.

Personally, I don't think a deal lets the skins off the hook, it just allows them to continue pushing off the inevitable. Every penny of that salary WILL eventually be counted under the cap. Sure they won't have to cut everybody but they still won't be in that great of shape to improve their team. On the other hand, we will have $25 to $30 million to spend if a new deal is reached. I like where we sit much more then where they sit!

I still don't think they have enough to get over the hump next year, even though they have added all those high profile coaches......

Not only that, but none of their restructure stuff has been submitted to the league either. They just announced the players have agreed.

This just tells me that those players would have been cut anyway, and this was just an excuse to get rid of extra baggage.

If these 32 owners decide to play hardball they can bust this union, players need this game for most of these owners this is their toy they have other interest besides football. I think if Upshaw thinks he is in the same league with guys like Jerry Jones I think he is sadly mistaken.

The thing is that if they reach a new deal and set this year's cap figure to say $110 million (very possible), then the Skins can be under the cap easily without pushing much to future years. They could get their cap mess straightened out for them. They would have to seek trouble to get in cap hell again.

It isn't that I want the Skins to be blown up. I don't believe they would have been even without a deal. I just want them to have to pay the cap toll that the Cowboys, 9ers, and Titans have. I was ticked that the Jags got off the cap hook when the Texans came into the league.

I do not think Upshaw wants to go tell his guys hey owners just locked us out and that big pay check you were expecting to buy that new Hummer and that new house well that is gone. Even worst is that player has to go home and tell momma that we will have to cut back on our life style. LOL
