notice how the skins haven't cut ONE player...

I'd say that was smart, why submit cuts to the league 2 days before the deadline and not keep hope if things change???? if there are deadlines it means deals are possible so why cut players you wouldn't have otherwise with a new deal. I'm sorry but I think they played it well, no conspiracies at all.

If these 32 owners decide to play hardball they can bust this union, players need this game for most of these owners this is their toy they have other interest besides football. I think if Upshaw thinks he is in the same league with guys like Jerry Jones I think he is sadly mistaken.

If they are as leveraged as they say they are, they are in no position to stop revuene from coming in. As rich as snyder is, he doesn't have the cash in the bank to pay off the debt from his stadium.

Glover was cut today because otherwise he would have been due a roster bonus that we did not want to pay. The extension of the cap deadline and FA would have had no bearing on delaying this decision.

Glover will find a job somewhere next year. I wouldn't mind bringing him back as a pass-rush specialist at $2.5M/year but he'll probably look for a starting gig elsewhere. We're also probably better off using the roster space to groom Fergy's replacement at NT.

John clayton said any player released today can be pulled back if the team wants.

This sucks. Not only do I have to wait longer for cuts, but we would have had more time to restructure Glover!

If the Cowboys want Glover back they are allowing all teams that made moves prior to the deadline to claim those players back off of waivers.

What a mess this is turning into. Whoops, you did not really want to cut them did you? E-gad. This is turning comical. Damn, I am addicted to football and have to be dragged into this mess. Oh I am getting angry. I think the Boys owe me a season ticket package for the grief they are causing me.

This was all done to save the Skins. Tags has done everything in his power to help them for going on two decades. It won't matter though because they aren't going to win anything of significance ever again- book it. It's not like they've been tearing it up with his help all these years anyway.

Agree. I'm not sure I understand all this obsession with the Skins and their cap situation. I'm certainly not losing sleep over them.

Did losing those 2 games to them this year really effect everyone that deeply?
For goodness sakes, we lost some games to them during the glory years of the '90s.

The object is the Lombardi Trophy, not just beating the Skins.

Gibbs and Snyder fell all over themselves this past year just because they beat us, when in actuality what does that matter over the grand scheme of things if you don't win it all?

Frankly, I've not taken a lot of satisfaction in beating them the past 7 years or so, because other than those victories we've generally stunk it up during that time.

Thank you Captain.

Someone finally bringing a proper perspective to all this.

Latest Rumormill from PFBS.com:

Despite the fact the the the current CBA extension has been in place since October, 2001, one NFL team was caught literally "with its pants down".

Commisioner Tabliabue said "since the team in question represents our nation's capital, and therefore our nation, we felt it would be best to grant the entire league a 72 hour extension to allow our nation's capital's team the appropriate time to say goodbye to those that must go, and a little extra time to re-negotiate with those that they desire to retain.

"It's fair for everyone", said Mr Tablabue.
