Crazy how far down the Raiders are since they have led the league in penalties for what, 2 decades now? If any fan base should be suspicious, it should be them.

Honestly, it's wild that a team could go through countless players and coaches and still be one of the most penalized.

Maybe those fans just know that their team has an undisciplined style and accept it instead of searching high and low for excuses. Must be nice, lol.

Undisciplined through 4 decades with countless players, captains/leaders, coaches, and coordinators? Raiders at one point were on a 42 year streak of 6 or more penalties a game.

It's an obvious, at the very least, unconscious bias by the refs.

I don't think anything is scripted. That's way out there, nearly impossible. But simple tampering, I can't rule it out. But I don't see anything to lead me in that direction either. But there's really no way to tell.

Keep in mind this data comes from Twitter, using tweets from the last month of the season, so it might not be the most statistically accurate representation in the entire world.

However, I still think it’s interesting. From my observation, the teams that underachieve are near the top, the winners are in the middle, and the fans of losing teams are merely aware their team is not good and there isn’t any rigging going on.

Some calls in some of the games. Remember the screw job the saints got. That playoff game. We had a 4th down play in a game that Lamb was hit way early and everyone knew it should have been a flag. They should be able to look at replay and catch these obvious calls.

It's somewhat obvious the refs try to keep games close when possible (especially early on in the game). Makes sense = blowouts make for low ratings. There's a reason the refs are given so much discretion, but not to full-on fix the games in a grand conspiracy.

A quarter century of exposure to televised reality that is not reality can make it seem to some observers as if the NFL is just another staged production. Heck. There are many people who became emotionally invested in Kardashians and Housewives and believe stuff like that is real. It’s entertainment. Sports is entertainment. There may not be a dividing line between what is real and what is the Upside Down for some folks.

It would be innovative if the NFL utilized more referees in the postseason. More sets of eyes on the field would be more practical for a game that is too fast for some officials to decipher during every play anyway.

It's all about money. Ratings = money. How do you get ratings? Close games. People turn off blowouts. So, the NFL does what it can to prevent them. Sure, they'll happen sometimes no matter what, but the comebacks in the NFL are now extreme, happening way too often.

Say what you will but when the 2 teams that were in the Super Bowl are in the Top 10 of the list there is something to the idea the NFL is scripted.

....and for the record, I saw someone referencing the 2023 script is for Dallas and the Bengals to be in the Super Bowl with the Bengals winning.
