Here's what we actually know, not conjecture. The line opened at Eagles -2.5 and closed at Eagles -1. That happens when bets pour in on the underdog, the Chiefs.

Vegas would've made more if the Eagles won.

Why Goodell would care either way I have no idea but I'm sure someone will invent a reason.
He doesn't. But I am going to try to have some fun with it...it is the off-season...need entertainment ...

How do we know the data on this chart is even accurate? Or did some guy on Twitter just whip this up in Power Point and say "well, Cowboys fan base should lead!"? Cowboys fans are the most polarizing....right?

Human error being overshadowed by human ignorance.

The human component, judgment calls, is just part of the game and I have seen "bad calls" in every game.

Honestly, with the real time speed and what these refs have to keep their eyes on, I am surprised there aren't more bad calls.

The sheer value of this sport negates any conspiracy theory to me. The reward does not counter the risk.

The NO noncall.
The 2017 JAX/NE game. Very clear. Crystal.

I agree, not scripted, just manipulated.
Yeah, I'm never ruling out manipulation. With the way they throw flags there is no way to know. They are so inconsistent that there is no way to tell. But scripted is another animal altogether. That's not happening.

T-Day game 2 years ago. Brown had not had a DPI all year, and then he gets what 2 or 3 late in the game and in OT on very questionable calls. Then received no more for rest of the year.
Those calls decided the outcome of that game.

And this non-call decided the outcome of this game. It happens ... to everyone.

Yes it does. But Dallas rarely is on the other side of those. And you know it.
But I seen much worse not called. Ask the Saints fans about it against the Rams a few years or so ago.

Oh, looky, looky. You're not having as much "fun" with this off-season topic now, eh? Lol. Dallas is on the same side as every other team. There's 22 players, 11 match-ups and 7 refs. Calls will be missed. Calls will be wrong. Replay will help some of that but is limited in what it can do. And of course my personal favorite is that fans complain about rules they don't even know the contents of. So unless you're watching what happens to every team, Dallas ain't "rarely" anything because there's no complete comparison. Fans of 1 team will always think their team is mistreated if one wants to go down that excuse-ridden route. I say enough of this mind-reading of refs and provide evidence. Oh ..... right. Lol.

I watch every game that I can, and had NFL ST so seen many games for years. How many do you watch?
But of course you take it upon yourself to protect the refs, as you feel they are NEVER wrong. Even when you know Dallas got screwed over you have a reason to protect the refs. We all know it.

Oh I am having fun with them, whatever makes you think I am not. I am having fun now seeing your meltdown. :lmao:

We’re #1!

Keep in mind this data comes from Twitter, using tweets from the last month of the season, so it might not be the most statistically accurate representation in the entire world.

However, I still think it’s interesting. From my observation, the teams that underachieve are near the top, the winners are in the middle, and the fans of losing teams are merely aware their team is not good and there isn’t any rigging going on.
Not surprised. The weekly season “ref” threads is unreal. Especially when we will see an opponent get hosed multiple times. But if there is one penalty in the 4th it’s “here we go.”

I dont get mad at missed calls...in fact some calls dont need to be made because the game would be 6 hours long

the ones i do get mad at are ones like the saints/rams game (thats a fireable offense) and these bogus roughing the passer calls

Maybe the ones saying this are actually the smart ones, because they see the truth. :muttley:
I agree with you on a lot but not this. I purposefully pointed out on game threads this season how many breaks we got. We had multiple games where the opponent got screwed on roughing calls, turnovers, holdings etc. Fans here see one 4th quarter penalty and start blaming. The reality is our D has been known to make stupid plays down the stretch. We’ve seen it time and again. Heck one of our playoff wins in this black hole of 27 yrs..Lions..was helped by a ref call. We aren’t getting screwed. It’s really made up

Have you heard of professional wrestling? Fixing has nothing to do with fans or viewership. It's the entertainment value.
Professional wrestling is completely rigged and if you think the NFL is like that and still enjoy watching the game more power to you. Lol

The Cowboys fanbase is the most dumb and not living in reality fanbase in the NFL.

This is just more proof of it.

"If we don't win then it's because the NFL is fixed!" - The Cowboys fan motto.
The vast majority of fans that notice something’s fishy don’t believe “if we don’t win then it’s because the NFL is fixed!”

Is it possible that an NFL referee could be biased against certain teams, players, or coaches?
It’s certainly possible, but if their calls or lack of calls against a particular team point to it, they’ll be fired. One biased official can affect an entire crew. Officiating crews get graded.

Just more proof we have the dumbest fans. There’s been countless threads started here by fans claiming the league is fixed and is biased against the Cowboys. Don’t know why they even bother to watch the game if they believe that.
Whats funny is these fans in this thread are trying to re-word to "not scripted, but influenced"

I understand that and agree. One 4th quarter call does not determine the game. As that pick Dak threw could have made the difference, or some stupid trick play call Moore made and did not work.
3rd and short, Moore throws a 30 yard pass instead of just getting that 1st down, and at least could get a FG instead of punting. Many fans forget about those plays, or non plays in the heat of the moment perceived bad penalty or non penalty. Like during game threads someone always says holding not called, or DPI or holding or, no. that was a weak call.
A fumble, or a fumble not recovered. A dropped pick. many things that happened.

I done it myself, but try to keep it to the legit ones. Now it is like, meh, it happens, can't do anything about it.

I made that statement just to have fun and offer something different. I have to be a contrarian at times. :muttley:
