Perfect Storm or Wake Up Call?

Was our O better strictly because they were hurt and forced to play zone because of it?

Man, I do not know. I do know that we didn't run every 1st down, and we didn't pass every 1st down. But, I also saw at least one situation where the receivers ran straight to the DB's and stopped.

Did we just get lucky? Did we finally wake up?

I am bamfoozled.

Garrett somehow pulls this off every time the chair starts to heat up but he's gotta keep it going.

I don’t think we got lucky, the Eagles just aren’t all that and had several injuries so we benefited. We’re not a bad team but we’re not that great either.
I agree, we're in that 2nd tier but would have been in that 3rd one with a loss.

However, I do not downplay the effect of Cooper on the future play calling. One thing that I believe has hampered the play calling, specifically on 1st downs, was the lack of college separation the receivers were getting for Dak and after the turnovers, he's going to be even more cautious. Cooper is the best #1WR route runner the Cowboys have had since Irvin and he needed push offs for a lot of his. Having Cooper makes a better play caller of Linehan.

I think they went all out. Went out of character calling a game they normally wouldn't with total abandon. Up tempo, deep throws, throwing on first down, ect...ect……
So, they changed to smart playcalling. I'm just bamfoozled.

....Heck, we beat a good team. That's what I saw. Whatever preparation they did, run it again. Dallas played better by making the plays, when they needed to. Dak proved, if he gets time he'll drive the bus.

We are a bad team that played good enough.
I disagree, if we’re bad, what do you call the Giants, Tampa, Cleveland, the Bills, Miami, Arizona, even the Falcons who very well may have the worst defense in the league?

Hold it................so that means they could've called better plays all along but chose not to?

That's what I said! He's probably the best WR we've had since the 90s. I can only imagine what kind of numbers he would've put up with Romo in his prime. Probably 1400+ yards and 13+ TDs a season.

The first half was the same old garbage, the switch flipped innbeb2nd, felt like 2016 again. There’s still room to improve, but the play calling was much better in the 2nd half. They need to cut Dak loose and him ball, he can succeed.

Im having a hard time understand your angle here.

They changed to more of a risk taking, unpredictable, change it up, free for all style of play calling. Is that so hard for you do understand the difference? Obviously a lot of these plays were in the offense. Do you remember seeing them? WR screens like to Gallop ect….ect….? Throwing more to Zeke, ect….ect… More of a quick strike passing attack, get the ball out quicker, ect…..ect….. Hurry up offense? ect….ect…..? Nothing?

Don't you get the timing? What good would it have done for Rocky to beat hell out of Clubber if he hadn't been first beaten to a pulp?

I swear, as long as you've been watching this game and still don't know coaches do stupid things just to look smarter later.

I thought in the beginning of the 2nd half they came out flat and went back to the conservative play calling. Only to say what the heck again once they were down 7.

I call them horrid. I call them the worst in the NFL. So we are 4-5 what do you call that? Mediocre? That would be 5-5.

I have no angle. I'm truly confused. Why didn't we do it sooner?

Its amazing how finally these coaches did their job for once because they thought that their job was on the line. Now they started calling a good, up tempo game. Why did they wait this long?

Do they have to be told to do their job? I still don't believe they can sustain winning like this. They will be back to their old conservative ways in no time.

I don't think the Eagles are a very good team.
