I know exactly which one you're talking about, I believe it's called "The Runaway". Something I learned at the museum was that he actually did two versions of that painting. In the original, the background was more urban but he wanted to convey a more suburban setting since he thought a "runaway" would more likely to be inmor head for suburbia. The second painting, probably the one your and your husband have is the more popular version, the suburban setting. You may be able to look it up online and see the differences.Oh my gosh, this is breathtaking!
We have a clock with a Norman Rockwell image on it. My husband has it hanging right above the computer, where he can see it easily. He bought it a few years back, he loves NR. It's an image of a man at a 1950s cafe behind the counter, and a police man and little boy seated, talking to each other. There is a sign overhead that reads, "Special Today".

His museum is located in Stockbridge, MA which is where his studio was and where he lived for a good portion of his life. Many of the people he uses were actual residents and setting in and around Stockbridge. Highly highly highly recommended if you ever get the chance.
I may have misinformed you, I could have sworn there were actually two different paintings but maybe he just altered the first one. Anyways, here's a little more info I just found
