Pete Carroll fits

Two weeks ago I would have scoffed at Carroll as a fit.

Now I am rolling out the red carpet.

You know it's bad when the option of Pete Carroll is starting to sound good to the alternative

He's on the same tier as McCarthy as one of the most successful head coaches of the era. He can come in right away and win but he's also old enough that he knows he's not here long. So if he has no issue with Witten being on the staff it works and Witten gets to learn how to be a pro coach from a highly accomplished veteran Head Coach as an example and not Brian bleeping Schottenheimer.

It doesn't get any better than this with Jerry. The only hang up is his kids and the salary.

It's what I'm hoping for.

But I still miss Fat Mike.

Would be kind of a defensive version of McCarthy. The McCarthy years probably gave us the most rounded teams since the 90's. If we could get back to a 2021/2023 talent level, Carroll attention to defense may give us a better chance to get deep into the playoffs. They will need to spend in FA to make up for the 2023 draft though

13-20 the other two Dallas yrs one playoff win against Todd Bowles . After 5 yrs did you want to try another 5 ?
