Would be kind of a defensive version of McCarthy. The McCarthy years probably gave us the most rounded teams since the 90's. If we could get back to a 2021/2023 talent level, Carroll attention to defense may give us a better chance to get deep into the playoffs. They will need to spend in FA to make up for the 2023 draft though

Mike Mac Terrible in the red zone lots of penalties one playoff win . Bye

He's on the same tier as McCarthy as one of the most successful head coaches of the era. He can come in right away and win but he's also old enough that he knows he's not here long. So if he has no issue with Witten being on the staff it works and Witten gets to learn how to be a pro coach from a highly accomplished veteran Head Coach as an example and not Brian bleeping Schottenheimer.

It doesn't get any better than this with Jerry. The only hang up is his kids and the salary.

It's what I'm hoping for.

But I still miss Fat Mike.
I think everyone would rather Carroll then Schott. Now Schott did work with Carroll in the past so there is a connection, but I am hearing Stephen is pushing Schott hard, ughh.

I could definitely live with Carroll being coach, which means it won't happen. Of course, I said the same about McCarthy and it did happen, but it seems like the Joneses are trying to set the bar lower (cheaper) this time.

Damn was he really making 15 million a year in Seattle? If so we might be screwed, again.

Of course little enos is pushing the cheapest possible candidate. More money in his pockets

I like Pete Carroll. He may be 73 but he looks and carries himself like he is 63. Really good football coach we would be lucky to have him for 3-4 years.

Besides that people are acting like our other choice isn't Schottenheimer. Lol yes I'll try my luck with Carroll.

Why don't we dust off Dick Vermeil while we're at it?

I'm afraid no young coach looking to make a name for himself is going to want to coach the Cowboys knowing the commitment this front office puts into winning. You're going to have to do it with the draft. If you can't, you may never get another head coaching job again. This team is made for retreads.
