2025 could be an interesting coaching cycle. So far, except for Vrabel and Johnson, there aren't many top candidates. Just depends on your flavor of ice cream. This may explain why Mike could have other options. Hell, COVID interrupted his first year a bit. Then he had three straight 12-5 seasons followed by a final year that was sabotaged by Jerry but his players still have his back.

We should be shopping for a new GM moreso than a new HC.

Will we have an answer in 2 weeks? Or will senile Jerry drag it out again like he did with Garrett?

When does MM's contract actually end? After the last game, or a week after, or a month like Garrett's did?

I know they do their end of the season coaches and player evaluations. Which should take no more than a week. Except this team. They like to drag things out. Like 6 month contract negotiations only to get fleeced.
Mike will get a few days to clean up his office and say good Byes.

like Jason.

Mike humiliated Jerry in those home game losses.

#ManCried in front of millions.

not sure when KMoores interview will be….

There is a chance that once Jerry is gone, Stephen will have a more traditional structure with it's boundaries. Until then, an unestablished coach has zero shot to succeed.

Jerry's whim and circus will eat them up no matter how talented.

That’s a hard no for me besides if I’m a betting man my money is on McCarthy being retained
Even Jerrah knows there's no chance of playing in a Conference Championship Game with his son Dak. So Jerry is waiting for the Dak era to be over, before he picks a Harbaugh level coach.

I don’t buy into the age argument. The oldest HC in the league is Andy Reid (66). I would take him in a second over what we have. Pete has something our HC doesn’t have, which is a relentless motor to drive the best out of everyone in every situation. I think he gets the most out of his players, and has them ready for every game. They clearly respond to him well. He is also very high-energy, which counters much of the age bias, I think. We could use that kind of guy. I’m not opposed to younger guys, I just don’t think age plays into it as much as the quality of the individual.

I'd go for this bc Carrol is all about building a dominant defense which is the only path forward for Dallas.

No
His time has passed. Time for a younger HC to bring new ideas and MAYBE a different mentality.

I'd take him in a heartbeat over MM or Zimmer. Watching him punish his gum would be better than seeing Fat Mike stare in confusion up at the big screen after every other play.

We need an offensive coach
We've had an offensive head coach for the past 14 years. How about we go back to our roots...... you know, back when the Dallas Cowboys mattered in the post season. Both Landry and Jimmy Johnson were defensive coaches.
