Although he meant it as a component when he said before the game "I'm glad we are getting them early"
Could have been unintentional bulletin board material. Lol

I was going to mention that. I thought it was cool that he said that about the Cowboys before the game. No way did he, his players and coaches, and especially their fans think that the Cowboys were going to come into their house and full on bully and beat them.

I think in football feared goes further in the short term. One has to wonder if Jimmy would have lost the team by continually demanding more when they were giving 100%.
.

I don't know but I would have been given the opportunity to find out!

Wow. Who expected that .... You are right.

Next time will be tougher.

Everything Carroll said is true, but keep in mind that he knows they might face Dallas again. He'd be foolish to give them bulletin board material. Steve Dennis said on The Break that Dallas doesn't want to face Seattle in the playoffs. IMO, Seattle doesn't want any part of us after being thrown around like rag dolls. It's kind of hard to game plan for that.

While i feel much better about how we physically match up with them, I still would not want to play them in their house. That crowd is nuts and strange things always seem to happen during the games in Seattle's favor. Blocked punts, crazy fumbles...you name it.

Of all the teams in the conference to avoid, San Fran would be it. Their D will be healthy and IMO much more balanced than Seattle.

Maybe some Cowboy haters heard that and will start giving the Boys their props. Doubt it. Who cares.Time to pound the Giants into little blue & red meatballs.

Exactly who cares about the haters! Let's stay positive and pound the Giants :D

All points well taken, but I bet they'd still rather face somebody else if they're honest about it. It might even be at AT&T next time.

The xfactor or equalizer is the run game. They won't be able to stop us.

That may very well be the case.
All we have to do now is work on home field advantage and the fact that it should be an advantage.

Just listened to Pete Carroll interview on Sirius NFL Radio, and he was nothing but full of praise for Dallas. Paraphrasing here, of course, but he basically said that Dallas was a very good (with emphasis on "very") and very tough team. The host tried to give him an excuse for the loss by asking if in-game injuries affected the outcome. He stated that in no way did injuries change things. He stated that Dallas took them out of the way they normally play and that Dallas was able to stay with the way they normally play. He also said something about his players being taken out of their comfort zone. He also said that when TW made the 3rd and 20 catch, that it was all downhill for Dallas from there. It was a fun listen.

We all saw it. What was he going to say?

Saw what? I was relaying what I heard on the radio (as stated in the OP). If I repeated something that he said in another interview and it offended you, sue me!

Unfortunately, they own the head-to-head tiebreaker because of that first game where Romo was off so much.

And while you're correct about them being closer to full strength in the playoffs... it will indeed be a different team that San Francisco would be facing if it came to that. Romo would not give them the ball 3 times and hopefully Murray wouldn't give it to them again either. Not to mention that Claiborne wouldn't be there for them to pick on either. As a matter of fact, they would have DeMarcus Lawrence and Anthony Spencer to face... which is likely to be a much more formidable DE duo.

Of course, that is a long way off and one must assume a lot to be talking about playoffs in October. Hopefully it is just us fans and not the players doing so.

I can't speak for RS12, but I think he was saying that since everyone saw the play and saw that Seattle wasn't competitive after the play... that Carroll couldn't say otherwise. Meaning he said the only thing he could... that Dallas earned that quote with its play.

In other words, I don't think he meant any offense to you... although I could be wrong.

Maybe he could have reversed it and said, "What else could Carroll say, we all saw what happened?

OK. The post just came off as snarky to me. Just trying to pass along a little positivity since we haven't had much of that around here for a while.

My apologies, RS. I obviously misinterpreted the intent of your post.

having watched game highlights from different media one thing that keeps getting huge attention is the back shoulder endzone pass to Escobar that the db dropped and would have gone the other way
like that would have won them the game or something
never mind that Kyle Wilber had nothing but blockers in front of him when he dropped Wilsons pass in the redzone. that could have been a 14 point swing right there even if he didnt house it because the Cowboys were abusing Seattles defense

and I JUST predicted teams gambling on that back shoulder pass at the goal line before this game. Escobar didnt get any separation like Dez does

The odds of converting 3rd and 20, on the road, against a great defense are very low. I'm not shocked that after that happened that it took the wind out of their sails.

He's right on all points. Especially the TW catch. After that play everything pretty much went in our favor. It's like it sucked the life out of Seattle.

Turning point of the game.

They stop us and get the ball back and score..

and they surge ahead 7 points with minutes to play.

Romo has to throw every down and that leads to disasters.

So while there are many reasons why Dallas won..

playing 60 minutes of football has been the biggest change for this team.

Let's see if they can continue this.

Back in the 90's..Dallas nearly always played 60 minutes and teams knew what they were up against.
