I remember we wanted Q Jammer

I remember we wanted Q Jammer out of Texas but the Chargers picked him ahead of us so we picked T New

Jammer was drafted in 2002 - Newman was drafted in 2003.

The Cowboys made a late trade down (on the clock, it looked like the time ran out, and Minnesota tried to jump the Cowboys/Chiefs, who had made the trade), and took Roy Williams in 2002.

Ignorant is assuming that because an offer is made to one team it will be made to another.

As opposed to ignorantly assuming it's not? Embarrassing that contradiction needs to be pointed out to you.

In the situation that was described with Tunsil, there isn't anyone that believes that Dallas will take Tunsil. So if they were worried about who Dallas is taking, they would trade with San Diego. The trade King posted makes complete sense given the teams and the likelihood of who would be available. Maybe it doesn't fit your scenario, but if Tunsil is the prime target and San Diego doesn't take him, I don't think there is any chance that a team trades with Dallas in that spot unless they can do it by giving Dallas much less back in return than what they should get.

And I am sure you would be completely cool with that.

You can "think" whatever you want. What you continue to fail to consider is that any team after Tunsil would not only worry about the team in that slot taking him, but also another team trading into any of those slots. But it's obvious you can see that far ahead.

If Tunsil is there at #4, probably at least 5 teams will be working a trade with the Cowboys. I would guess Jerry already has a trade worked out with the agreed in principle parameters for a Tunsil trade.

I am hoping for Tunsil to be there at #4. Hopefully, SD will take either Bosa, Ramsey, Buckner, or Stanley or whoever.

"Pressure off Tony Romo".

Why is the draft selection decision about eliminating the burden of Mr. Romo's play as the starting QB?
This constant year in and year out of drafting with the intent of always protecting and securing Romo's playing status needs to cease.
Maybe, just maybe the organization needs to focus on the team's future without being sensitive and concerned about present-day security of Mr. Romo.

The sole focus of a Romo-friendly offense, Romo-friendly draft, Romo-friendly offensive play-calling/game plan undermines the team concept and development.

Go with Bosa.

If it comes down to Bosa or EE then I hope they pick Bosa.

Why? Just a preference? My preference is EE. Why?

I think he will have the larger impact over 5 years. Will score TDs, block rushers (keep our QB upright), and can catch passes out of the backfield.

Bosa: I believe will be good, but not great and will only get some sacks, but not 17-20 a year, but I hope I'm wrong if he is drafted.

Who is getting 17- 20 sacks a year in the Nfl? 10- 12 would send you to the pro bowl.

The funny this about all this is you are mad and getting worked up about someone's MOCK draft and how it relates to the Cowboys. Your face is probably all red sitting there thinking that Jerry and Stephen got duped again.

The thing that could change a lot of this is that a lot of people are starting to talk about Buckner to the Chargers, leaving Ramsey, Tunsil and Jack all out there, as well as Elliott when we pick. Will be very interesting to see what Dallas does if Ramsey is sitting there. He makes a lot of sense for Dallas. So does Bosa. So does Elliott.

What a lot of these people forget when your picking 4th regardless of position the idea is to take the best talent on
the board someone you feel can become a ProBowler or a stud. Elliott is the only player up there that meets that
criteria. Bosa may be a good DE and get you 7 to 9 sacks a year but the depth in this Draft allows you to get Defensive
help later in the Draft. Example Ramsey who is ranked #1 at his position...is he really #1 ? He will most likely not be
the #1 CB that comes out of this Draft he might be #1 Safety well I like Karl Joseph almost as much as a Safety and
I can pick him at #34 most likely. Elliott is #1 at his position and taking him at #4 is not really a reach its a solid choice.
Someone that has the potential to be a top 3 or 4 RB in the NFL so Cowboys just do it.....he also helps the blocking
game and protecting Romo.

I have concerns with Ramsey. Like him as a Safety not near as much as a CB because of his hip and turning ability.
Plays in front of him hes very good which translates more as a Safety but turning and playing his back to the ball I
can see other CB's in this Draft that look better. Personally I'm stayng with Elliott.

that is my point. I don't know if Bosa is THAT much better than other DEs coming in. I do believe the EE is THAT much better than other running backs save Henry.

EE is definitely better than any guys r have seen since AD but can he play 10 more years in the modern NFL?

McFadden is a nice back when healthy. He's also entering his 9th season. Not many backs are great after that long. Far fewer string together back to back 1000 yard seasons.

He is a nice piece to plug in but not a guy who changes your draft approach

Agree.. Just saying he would've had huge numbers a year ago with Romo extending drives.

Other Notables:

19. Buffalo: Robert Nkemdiche, DE, Mississippi.

Trade: Seattle trades the 26th pick in the first round to Cleveland for the 32nd and 100th picks in the draft (second-round and fourth-round picks).

26. Cleveland: Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis.

28. Kansas City: Laquon Treadwell, WR, Mississippi.

There is a good chance we have a top 20 person on our board for our second pick. Just because how close these players seem to be ranked from the mid first round to the mid second. It is the beauty of the beholder. Lets just hope our rankings are good.

I always thought that player would be a defensive lineman, and it may be. I don't have an opinion of Lynch yet. But if the Cowboys like him Lynch and Treadwell are two guys that would warrant a trade up into round 1. Lynch as a development QB and Treadwell as a really good WR across from Bryant.

So the no 4 pick on a guy who plays 15 snaps a game vs the best DE in the draft, seems like a easy choice to me.

15 carries a game. Only 7 guys in the league averaged more last year. You called it snaps. I didn't

Great question...if he doesn't get hurt <but that is any player> I say yes. Behind this line with that talent and drive....man! Could you imagine having had Dorsett, E. Smith and EE...

I think he will be a joy to watch run.

Keep telling yourself that. I'm smart enough to know that it doesn't matter what any of us think when it comes to what they end up doing. I just have my opinion like other fans do and I'll present information to support that opinion.

I'm not emotionally invested at this point. But I won't be a blindly clapping sheep if they get duped either.

We'll just have to wait and see what does happen.
