I don't know about now but King used to have connections with the FO. Seems high for McKinney, they might be able to trade back and use the extra pick to trade up for Ruiz if that's who they want.

Why? Dude is raw as hell. Do we want a project with our 1st? We already supposedly have Gregory and Aldon. And Tank. Let's sure up the secondary with a guy we know can contribute right away and make sure our OL doesn't blow up with no Fred and "Shell of Himself" Smith at LT

This talk of having to get a C in the first round or having to trade back into the first round to get is pissing me off.

Because it seems like something we'd do.

Looney played as well as Frederick did last year in 2018 and we made the playoffs. We also have McGovern.

Trading away premium picks to move back up and take a C in the first round is just frustrating.

Why in the hell are we the only team in the NFL that needs an OL of mostly all first and second round picks to field a quality OL?

Honestly. It’s hard to decipher. One hand they want Jamal Adams but a guy like delpit or another safety could be had at 51. I think it all comes down to who’s best available when their number is called

The insiders say we love two guys. Henderson and Chaisson. Aldon and Gregory????:laugh::laugh::laugh: You can’t depend on those guys. They first have to be reinstated. We all know with Goddell that is not a guarantee. Sure up the line? Why do you think we drafted McGovern last season.
 
If we come out of this with a center and a safety, we've failed to fill the biggest holes on the team

I really like both of these players, but this strategy would be pretty damn stupid
 
King admitted that he only hit on 9 of 32 to the correct team last year. So I wouldn't get to worked up about it.
 
Not sure how I would feel about this. I would prefer a trade down at 17 to get Ruiz, and then pick up the top rated DB in round 2.

With that said however I think in this scenario the cowboys end up with two solid safe picks that could see the field week 1. In most drafts if you can come away with two starters you typically did a solid job.

He’s not that raw and not some huge project.

He’s just young and his best football is ahead of him.
