Let's see...
Roy's "success" rate -- 34 of 74 = 46%
Owen's success rate -- 63 of 130 = 48%
Witten's success rate -- 74 of 110 = 67%
Too funny, you just proved why Romo does look Witten's way more often when in tight situations and when the game is on the line and why he looks Roy's way least often. When he targets Witten, there is a 2 in 3 chance that he'll catch the ball. When he targets Roy, there is less than a 1 in 2 chance that he wind up catching the ball.
Looking at these numbers only tells me one thing -- Owens and especially Roy have absolutely nothing to ***** about.
against Pittsburgh, Roy knitted an entire sweater all alone in the back corner of the endzone before romo through the ball over his head.
against Baltimore, Roy was wide open on a few routes, Romo never looked to his side of the field.
I forget the game where we wen't for the 2 pt conversion, I believe it was the Giants game. At the end they threw a fade route to Roy. Romo through a ball that not even Manute Bol could have touched. I personally feel Bennett would have been the best target in that situation, cause of his size, 6'7, and his leaping ability.
Roy is getting wide open, Romo doesn't throw the ball to him...he waits till Roy is covered or if he does see him, he throws a ball either too short or too tall for Roy to catch it.
I guarantee if any team we played had a WR getting open the way Roy does, we would get used and abused all game long.....
