But there is no shame in that - Bryant Young is a very good player and knows all the tricks. Big Rob will learn.

Are u kidding?

Stop trying to come up with some kind of scoop.

He played very, very well.

BTW, we gave up one sack and that was Rivera's guy.

geez.

One play, and Young was not his assingment :banghead:

Some of you need to take "football 101" before posting

Pettiti is doing a good job..he will continue to get better..I personally think he is the future at RT

Rob is holding hism own......game after game. Rob is going to be a great one when he learns how to play......lol

I dunno about it not being his assignment. It looked to me like Young ran right around him. I thought he had a good game and maybe you guys saw something I didn't, but it sure looked like he blew right by Pettiti

I was listening to the commentators on SF radio- they said that Young was teaching the kid- but the kid was learning. Young had a pretty good game- 5 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 PD.

Couldn't disagree more, if he got schooled how did Bledsoe have the kind of game he did today?

3 games, 3 strong showing by our O-Line, Rob is by far surpassing any expectations we could have had of him.

By the way, not one rocking penalty from Pettiti today either, even that aspect of his game is improving!

Why...?

Because that was the only way I could hear the game. Managed to get the SF feed.

If anyone got schooled today it was Al Johnson, the image of him whiffing the LB on the 3rd and short was disturbing.

No, I mean why were you listening to the idiots in SF and taking what they say seriously?

Those homo erotic weirdos are still pissed about getting their arses handed to them in 1993

I remember 1 play where it looked like Petitti didn't get his man, on that sack where Young went untouched. But I don't know the blocking assignments either, so it's possible someone else was supposed to pick him up. Either way, he played a solid game overall and I'm thrilled with this kid's growth and upside.

If they considered Bryant Young's performance as "schooling" Rob Petitti, then they don't have very high expectations for their defensive linemen.

Rob has far exceeded my expectations this year. What a nice story we have unfolding at RT.

Give the kid a break, he's a rookie. That alone entitles him to a learning curve.

He's doing fine.

Sarge, I agree. He is everything we need him to be, especially after the Jacob Rogers debacle.

We scored 34 points today!

I hope our o-line gets schooled every week!

I think Rob played VERY well. If I remember correctly, he was blocking someone else when Young got the sack. I know his grandmother and I were screaming through the whole game. I am sure my brother is very proud!

I am,however, quite concerned by the very poor tackling our defense did. Way too tentative and sloppy!

Oh --by the way, wasn't that my former student, Al Singleton, with the interception!

I dunno - maybe Nors knows?
