PFF Grades - LBs

Yeah I only see him when he’s committing a penalty. Conner is doing his job for the most part. I honestly can’t complain about a unit that’s missed Martin for a game and Collins for a few.

We ran the ball down the eagles throats and down the chargers throats. If they keep that up. I’ll be happy.

You have to understand a lot of these guys…they get checks every month for their mental disabilities…..

Look, PFF is great if it supports my position on certain players.
PFF is just total garbage if contradicts my position on certain players.

See? Simple.

True but PFF does not have a dog house like this place does. Once a guy gets into the dog house around here it matters little of good play that player may have. He is dirt, he is the worse, I don't like his how he does this or that. It really becomes almost personal. I will say Jaylon as not lived up to what I would have hoped for and he has had some poor games and deserve the heat he has taken but for him or any player when they do positive things to help this team that should also be acknowledge but around here that is like pulling teeth

I don't pay for access to PFF, but here's a link to the LB grades so far for the season. In the link, the top 3 are shown, then the rest are in some random order. Just click the player's name and you will get their overall grade and rank.

Parsons is #3 overall
Jaylon is #20 overall
LVE is #67 overall
Neal is #66 overall

A couple that I also found interesting:
Myles Jack is #51 overall
Anthony Hitchens is #63 overall
Jaylon at 20…:eek: PFF needs to be shut down immediately. Cowboys Zone won’t have it.

Yea, found that odd. I mean I don't watch their games often so I can't "judge" but generally thought those two were way better than bottom of the barrel LBs. Even Roquan Smith at 60 but I won't watch the Bears unless the Cowboys are playing them lol.
Same here because when I see Buccs play and White is just flashing all over the screen….Queen makes plays too but I also see him have lapses in coverage but still lol….

I assumed giving up a fumble for a touchdown and failing to score on that goal line might’ve hurt him but I honestly don’t know if they factored that in to their score. He also had a 39 QBR somehow which is insane. They believed he played better last week than this week lol.
One of the Dallas shows explained since Dak is not a free runner any more his QBR will suffer. So QBs like Hurts who run net more positive QBR stats.

Jaylon is a less agile but bigger Ernie Sims. Good straight line speed and will make some good plays, but will also take himself out of position enough that it can really hurt a couple of times per game.

He's the LBer equivalent to a gambler at DB - will make some good plays, but will also get caught making a bad guess that allows for a bust.

Yeah the Eagles and Chargers would love to have Jaylon. He is a solid linebacker. It’s amazing how well you play when the talent around the player improves as well as a competent coordinator.
Well that’s what I’m saying…this fanbase tells me Jaylon is the worst linebacker in the league but I know our last two matchups have terrible linebacker play.

I don't disagree with that. I also think how Quinn uses Jaylon can make an impact both for the team and for Jaylon.

But I read on here that Jaylon sucks and is the worst linebacker in the league...

Last year I'd say that was fairly accurate. It's obvious he's playing better this season. Some people just get so dug in that they aren't willing to change their opinions. The QB is a perfect example. He couldn't hit the broadside if a barn in 2017, since then all he's done is get better. Yet there are those unwilling to acknowledge as much.

I'm happy to see Quin getting the best out of Jaylon. I hope it continues. I love to eat crow on our players turning out for the better.

Agree. Quinn is going to mitigate a lot of it. Jaylon was incredibly poorly suited for Nolan, who wants to play based purely on gap integrity. Jaylon is always going to try to run to the ball and around blockers. Asking him to focus each play on owning his gap and eating up an OL to do so was failure.

Most definitely man…..it’s free money lol.

One also needs to wonder how PFF is grading these positions. That is important. For example do they consider a tackle swiping at a guy and touching him with your finger tip as another guy tackles him.
