PFF grades vs Broncos

It’s PFF
Don’t read too much into it
According to them Diggs is one of the worst CB in the nfl
Not worst starter but one of the worst period

Yeah, b/c most fans only remember the INT not the 50 yard catch he gives up on the next series. What the PFF grade shows you is that he is inconsistent and doesn't give max effort every down. His saving grace is that he makes plays. He is a Jimmy Johnson type playmaker.

How was Dak not in the 30s? That was the worst game of his career.

PFF does not consider whether a 10 yard completion takes place in the 1st quarter or in garbage time. Dak probably had a bad grade going into the 4th quarter but he then lead 2 TD drives in garbage time. This ironically was the knock on Dak in 2019 when the team went 8-8..........he played his best football and piled up stats at the end of games against prevent defenses.

I am not surprised by these grades at all. I thought LVE played a good game. He filled holes a few times to stop running plays. I am not surprised by Parson's grade either. Much as we like him, he seems to struggle getting off blocks too. Same with Gregory. Gregory is a pass rushing DE. I have no problem running stunts with him but I don't like lining him up the middle. I'd prefer they do that with Parsons and leave Gregory outside.

Gregory had a so-so day against a backup OT.

Diggs had two INT calls against him, gave up a TD and several other critical plays. He had a horrible game.

How many Broncos players had PFF scores over 90?I ma guessing it is a lot.

Parsons is a fantastic pass rusher but struggles at times against the run. Gregory is a boom/bust pass rusher, hence 5 sacks in 3 games and 0 in the other 5. Diggs and Dak both went off the rails, probably one of the main reasons we lost.

Bingo. Gregory struggles against the run. I think he's a situational pass rusher not a 3 down DE like DLAW. Diggs is the same kind of boom or bust player. He grades poorly on PFF b/c he gets beat a lot and is a poor tackler.

Agreed. This game reminded me of the pre-Amari Cooper days when Dak struggled to break 200 yards passing.

Reminded me of pre Amari days with WRs not getting separation. The Broncos seem to have good DBs who can cover in man. And despite the big plays last week, Amari hasn't looked like himself to me. I don't see the quickness I've come to expect. He always moved like Beasley in a bigger, stronger, faster body.

Some of these performances were overshadowed by the overall poor performance of the team. Get ready for a few shockers........

Top performers:

1. LVE. - 91.5 (!!!).
2. Zach - 74.3. (which is actually a bad grade for him)
3. La El - 74.2 ( not bad for him.... he rarely grades over 80.
4. Parsons 74.1 ( this is deceiving. He was great in pass rush (88.0) but poor against the run (48.9) )
5. Dak. 70.0. ( bad game for him not reflected in this score. Seemed to get going when the game was over)

Bottom feeders

1. Trevon Diggs 35.8. (worst game as a pro)
2. Steele 35.7. ( out of position and outclassed)
3. Brown. 42.7. ( couldn't tackle a mannequin )
4. Gregory. 45.4 ( disappointing game, hope its not a trend)
5. Osa 51.8. ( the proverbial hole in the middle of the DL)
Does LVE’s agent work for PFF on the side?

Actually Brown is a pretty decent . Especially tackling

Garbage time, that’s on Thursday. Games are one in lost in the so-called garbage time. It’s a ridiculous analogy
It's not an analogy, it's a fact. He padded his stats in garbage time last Sunday. They were down 30-0 if that isn't garbage time then I don't know what is.

This D is improving, but we still have major holes, especially on the DLine. Osa is pretty much by himself inside.

LVE never left, he just decided on what plays to try to make, you know, you can't make all the plays. I guess he's trying to make more since everybody didn't like him only trying to make half the plays.

Gregory had a bad game but they were allocating a lot of hats to stopping him. There was no pressure coming from anywhere else except Parsons when they sent him.

And he was held.

A lot.

And it didnt help that Gregory was rushing from the inside half the time.
