Can you lose your HOF status by being horrendous in your last season?
Not a chance. Maybe if it were closer like what is happening with Wilson the past few years.

Fun test, if you have 3 first team all pro accolades you are basically a HoF lock. Martin has 7 (and 2 second teams). He is one of those auto locks where there is no doubt he is 1st ballot

Jerry gave him a $36M extension.

Have to love our GM. Bless his heart.

Sad to know his best years were wasted on this team.

wow without Diggs getting INTs he looks terrible. Can't tackle to save his life. Scared of contact and a allows easy catches. We can technically get out on the majority of that contract if he is let go after this season but i doubt that happens. Jourdan Lewis might be our most consistent corner who plays with a mean streak and not afraid of contact. And he is our smallest corner. Carson and Diggs are afraid of contact

Guys, I'm going to be honest with you. I think we're missing Biadasz more than most figured. The center is the one making the line calls and TB was pretty good at it. Beebe may be a more physical player, but he's a rookie learning a new position, and I'm sure his head is spinning. Relying on him to make in game adjustments may be too much for him. Just a thought.

To add to this the 2 years he made AP 2nd team he made first team for both PFWA and SN (Canton recognizes all pro teams from all 3 publications) so in their eyes he's 9x first team which is insane.

Man I said it at the time when people tried to say he was a addition by subtraction. Why on earth would a team give him a big contract if all they had to do was replace him with a rookie? Makes no sense. He was a good player and more important than guys wanted to give credit for.

Meh, Biadasz is overrated. Yes, Beebe is suffering some learning curves. It's to be expected. But as he keeps getting more game experience, Beebe is going to be way much better than Biadasz ever could.

Overrated based on what? Because he seems perfectly fine in Washington. He doesn't have a high ceiling sure but people tried to play him like he was a bad player.

I'm right there with you. TB didn't have many flashy blocks, but he was steady, consistent, and knew what he was doing. Rolling with two rookies at the two most important spots on the OL was stupid. They may end up developing into great players, but their growing pains are a major reason why this team has a losing record halfway through the year.

Biadasz was going to cost $$$$ to keep. Cowboys did the right thing replacing him. Thankfully, it's with a young player who's upside is much higher than what Biadasz could ever offer. Fans just need to be patient. This season is finished. Time to build for next year.
