i tend to agree with most of what you've pointed out here.
- There has been a lack of creativity, design and consistency with the use of Zeke in the pass game.
Using him as just a safety valve dump off is a waste of talent as a receiver, imo.
What has added to his demise in the pass game is his lack of burst that seems to be totally different
than what he displayed in 2016 when he entered the NFL.
- The great quick screen that led to splash plays and TDs downfield -
gone. It was non-existence
Most of that is Kellen Moore- the rest is Zeke's sudden lack of burst.
Some here may point how Urban Meyer used zeke in slot at Ohio St. but what worked in college design does
always work in NFL level.
- i don't like him in slot as ZKE isn't an a overly multi-shifty back in that sense.
And hes not gonna shifty-shake coverage LBs and isolation one on one match ups.
But he has some dangerous traits that can be useful
if scheme-designs and his splash play conditioning
returns.
Misdirection plays, screen plays and wheel routes up field work most effective to get him
untracked and having biggest impact in pass game.
i've said several times over that i really believe McCarthy's coaches of Philibin, Peete can get far more
creativity out of Zeke in pass game than what we saw under Moore with Zeke in pass game.
If Kellen is the one to implement and scheme Zeke in pass game -Forget it !
- i'm not sure what you mean by Zeke "
has not been that strong as i anticipated ".
Are you talking Zeke not being strong physically ...or not strong as an area of Zeke in the pass game ?
