Just midweek debate starter thread. Try to keep it focused on players. I'm not responding to PFF complaints bc I really don''t care what you think of PFF.

Dak - 18th ranked QB
Cd Lamb - 9th ranked WR
Tony Pollard. 3rd ranked rb
Zeke - 18th ranked rb
Dalton Schultz - 22nd TE
Biadez - 23rd C
Zach Martin - 16th G
McGovern - 65th G
Steele - 20th T. (PFF does NOT distinguish between R and L tackles)
Tyler Smith 46th T
D Bland 20th CB
Diggs 32nd CB
Hooker 19th S
Kearse 29th S
LVE 20th LB
Osa 50th DT
Micah - 3rd edge defender (#2 pass rush behind Myles Garret)
DlAW - 19th edge defender
Sam Williams 40th edge defender

My only comment is Zach Martin. Now I don't follow all 32 teams, but I have a hard time seeing him as the 16th best guard. Don't think he's #1 but I haven't seen a drop in play to see him that low for a player of his caliber.

Wasn't Diggs high on the PFF list to start the year?

Did I miss this past weeks grades?

TIL, Mike McCarthy is the greatest coach in NFL history. 4-1 with a backup QB and 6-2 with three above average players and one of them plays a position PFF considers worthless.

I didn't post this weeks grades yet.

This is Zachs first year not graded in the top 5 and 22 points lower than last year when he graded out at an astounding 93.4 for the season. This year they got him in the 71.1 range which is good but not close to his standard.

Thats all I got. I don't know what they are seeing, but you can't accuse them of cowboy-bias or anti-zach sentiment b/c he usually kills it on their grading scale. But, again, they grade every play while most fans only remember the highlights and are not reviewing game film.

They also laid off a bunch of “employees” which for them is a bunch of dudes in India who wouldn’t know a pigskin from a foreskin

Martin....w t f

Dlaw...has been pretty solid all year overall. Figured he would be slightly higher

Diggs...fell off a cliff or something.

Pollard, lamb, Parsons seem fine on grades

Shultz and Daks seem about right

Yeah, I had similar thoughts before posting but I waffle on them so I decided to only comment on the one that seemed the most unimpeachable.
Shultz makes some plays and if you ding him for the plays he hasn't made I can see that dropping him to that range. I don't personally grade him as hard on some of those plays. I can't name 19 TE's I would rather have on my team.
Dak is the age old debate. No doubt he has been very inconsistent & turnover prone. His play doesn't deserve a high ranking. However, the QB play in general has been pretty rough this year with a number of perennial top 10 guys having really shaky years. So, from that standpoint I'm not sure I can say that 17 have outplayed him.

It goes to tell you the Cowboys are a well coached team. We have good players but to have a 10-3 record, the Cowboys are over achieving. Nobody had the Cowboys making the playoffs this season but the media has forgotten that.
