I don't pay any attention to PFF but I know a lot of you Lambda Lambda Lambda alumni do. I can't verify if this is true but at the 6:45 mark of this video it's stated this is what PFF is telling you. Pollard was a better pass protector against the Bucs.

Not sure about the ratings but ..

On two of the plays people are blaming pollard … the oline was at fault and he tried to help at the last minute

Umm.. that's what the back is supposed to do in blitz pickup. The line can't account for every blitzer so the back is suppose to stay in and help. Pollard may as well have just yelled "Look out!!" for all he did on those plays. Anyone who watched the game could see it. I'm sure he can do better.. but there is no way around the fact that on Sunday he was terrible..

People need to pump the brakes on Pollard being so much better than Zeke.

It's not true.

He's not a wide WR. He's not Deebo Samuel.

Just stop with the nonsense.

I can't blame the guy for not realizing his blocking responsibility on the double dog 48 triple lindy with a backside fake punt toss george reverse.

If only we could talk about how explosive and awesome Zeke is instead of his blocking ability in comparison to Pollard. I suppose this is all that tubby has left. It is what it is. I thought his receiving stats could never get worse than he was last year. So far 1 reception for -3 yards. Zeke always proving me wrong. Imagine if he finishes the year with negative receiving yardage. That would truly be something.

Watch the film on the plays and get back to me instead of throwing out generic comments. He definitely wasn’t good Sunday but he made a quick read and went after a Dlineman. Without talking to coaches it’s impossible to tell who went after the wrong man on those plays.

Pollard just isn't a good pass protector and never has been. His effort in that duty is less than bold. In fact, it's much closer to tame. It's a major part of the reason why he wasn't relied upon more than he has been in the past.

I did not see Zeke in blitz pickup much watching the game a second time. Maybe once or twice. He was okay and didn't give up any sacks. I am not sure how PFF graded him and on what plays. Maybe they saw something I didn't catch. They get paid to do what they do so I will consider that they gave Zeke a poor grade for Sunday night.

But Pollard gave up 2 sacks. He attempts to block the blitzing LB was pathetic and both times it was easy to see the guy coming right up the gut and Pollard had clean shots at him both times. Broaddus is right. Pollard tries but he does not finish. He hits the LB and only slow him down for a fraction of a second. No matter how Zeke was graded Pollard's performance was not good enough.

What I saw with my own two eyes though is Zeke did a better job the few times he was in there to pick up the LBs.

I think the one guy in the video has it right. Moore needs to do a better job in how he uses his personnel. Pollard should be catching passes out of the backfield and Zeke should be the one staying in to block. Zeke does not have the greatest hands as a receiver.

Compare their rushing stats this season.

I just said pretty much the same in another thread. Stop asking Pollard to stay in, just tell him to run out into the flat. He's dangerous in the open field and the blitz has just taken a defender away from the defense.

But couldn't this be said about most plays? Those who have access to all 22 might be able to decipher that but laymen watching on tv probably not as much.
