Worst player of the game is no surprise to anyone who watched it. Dak gets the game razzie for worst grade. Below our the runner ups. Micah graded the highest, FYI

1. Dak Prescot 37.4
2. Anthony Brown 43.5
3 Matt Farniok. 48.7
4. CD Lamb. 51.2
5. Diggs. 54.3

Surprise performer

Trysten Hill. 81.0. (!!!!)
This outlet is such a sham.

Sorry, i went thru the game again and Hill is GARBAGE. How he gets an 81 and Diggs gets a 54 i will never understand.

Joke outlet.

Out of curiosity, what did Big Q grade?

For the record, he was excellent.

75.5 for Osa too.

I think Noah Brown is the highest rated player of the entire offense at 69.3.
Osa was very good. Made two TFLs and was on the qb on both of Micah's sacks.

Actually was surprised he didn't get any credit in either case.

Well Ken, you have to understand what they are grading. They grade every player every play. So, it grades effort. Now trysten who normally scores very poorly on their scale played well most of the snaps. Fournette might run over him for a 15 yard gain, but if he holds up the next play, it can offset the really bad play......... though we know that is not reality. PFF does not weight plays very well or consider things like a bad plays overall impact on the game.

Its a very useful score and far more telling than raw stat lines. But it is not perfect. The best part is that you can write them and complain about a particular players grade and they will respond with an explanation. I got into it last year with them in regard to Diggs being one of the lowest rates cbs in the NFL on their scale. They wrote a whole article about it explaining how their score is more reflective of effort every down than overall impact on the game. Diggs made of ton of plays but he also gave up a ton of yards receiving.

So, it is far more useful evaluating some positions more than others. DT is one of the positions where they are usually spot on.

Noah is a good number 4 because he plays special teams and he knows the playbook and he blocks. He also doesn't seem to drop many. If he had more speed and quickness he'd be pretty special. Course because he doesn't have speed and quickness he's at best average, which makes him the number 2 WO on our team.

Like get an actual .5 sack for each of Micah's sacks?

I'm not sure. They didn't call Vita Vea name much. Maybe Biadez had a good game? This was not a typical Zach Martin pro bowl level game.

I saw Zach give Steele the death stare after one of the false start penalties. Anyone who thinks Steele is a better then average RT is watching through foggy glasses.

I just don't know why they don't use the same +,- and ++. -- criteria the NFL uses to grade. It is clear they are not and I have no idea what they are actually doing. Without logging it, Hill made 1 good play where he stood up the OL double team at the point of attack and actually made the tackle. One of the best plays I have seen him make.

Short of that, there were a lot of flailing and "almost" plays. A lot of hitting the ground....the big run up the middle was right by him. I just don't get it.

If you going to ding Diggs for his run defense, then it makes more sense. How you can discount the two beautiful pass breakups and overall very good coverage on Evans, I have no idea. Sure, he gave up a TD, but it was 1- a pushoff and two, an amazing 1 handed catch.

Uh...he was great in the actual act of....ya know....blocking. I can't think of a single time he didn't block effectively or get beat. He will clean up the penalties, which was very out of character for him.

I thought they would give him .5 for at least one of them....like the one where Micah had his leg. No biggie, would rather give it to Micah but the point was Osa was right there very quickly.

Farniok has an excuse. He is inexperienced and faced real competition for the first time. The rest of them are veterans and were awful.

I am a little surprised by Hill's grade. I thought he did okay but 81 is pretty good for him.

Just curious, how did the rate LVE and Anthony Barr?

I don't know either. I just know that their system isn't great for judging Rbs, WRs, or CBs. The positions where a guy can do nothing all game but come up with one big play that determines the outcome of the game. They just have no way of weighting the overall impact of a play on the game.

The overall grade gets more accurate as the season goes on, though it can be puzzling from game to game. I'll be shocked if Tysten is anywhere in the top 50 DTs this year while I know Diggs is going to score low in their system b/c thats just how Dallas lets him play. High risk/reward coverage.

Barr scored a 53.7 - not good
LVE scored a 69.6....... which was broken down this way 47.9 against the run and 84.4 against the pass.

The team should never have been in a position where someone like farniok has to play. Its not fair to the team or the player.

That's what I thought. Our LBs are not very good against the run, or at least they weren't in this game. They are too slow to find the ball and react. I still have no idea why they signed Barr. They had some fast young guys they could develop. Barr is past his prime.

I think those are pretty accurate too.
I thought Osa had a really solid performance. When he was out there he was disruptive, it's when he came out that Tampa really started to run well. I didn't watch Hill enough to judge. Gallimore was disappointing as was Bohanna. Parsons is unbelievable. Diggs certainly gave a lot of credence to those who said he was vastly over rated (though it's just one game). I thought LVE looked acive. Our safeties are solid.
Brown was our best WR out there. He was winning once in while, Dak just could get him the ball.
Lamb was dreadful, as was Dak. We need WRs who can win off the line, and last night was overall a dreadful performance by the position. Lamb should be ashamed of himself.

I though Zeke showed some burst I haven't seen in a long time, Pollard was just OK.
The OLine was atrocious. Farniok was dreadful, Steele and Biadasz are Jags at best, though I noticed TB was the hoghest rated Olineman. I didn;t see that for what I watched, as I was watching closely.
Smith showed promise yet still has a lot of work to do.
We were lucky Brady was off a little, that game could have easily been 31-3 or worse.

Barr is just a rotational DE. A desperate signing in the wake of the shock failure to resign Gregory.
