Actually the Colts also.....
Evero could be a good one to keep eye on if DQ goes to Denver.
Actually the Colts also.....
Lots of job options but longer Dallas goes in playoffs the better chance teams fill those jobs and we see how it goes.Colts could be attractive as they have some players and a top pick in the draft to land their QB.
Yep, thats what you guys said at the beginning of the year and you were all dead wrong. Cowboys lead the NFL in points. Only thing we could really use is a better 3rd WR. Not a big deal. Not with me.
We are desperately needing WRs that prove they can separate.
- Cowboys will likely gamble that Gallup will regain his previous form after a full offseason program but it's very risky to bypass an offseason
and NFL draft to automatically think that will happen.
Is it a guarantee that Gallup returns anew ?
- The feeling vibe I get is they will not only seek out a 3rd WR, but they will coveted a 3rd WR that can easily be a No.2 WR.
That's what they thought they would be getting with 2nd rd. rookie bust Jalen Tolbert.
- Dunno if how much was it mentally, competitively or physically with the rookie Tolbert but he gain zero confidence and was completely shelved
with this team- this year
And i'm certainly not for bypassing an available WR for the sake of Tolbert.
- We clearly saw how the James Washington signing was a complete wash out.
- Are we done hearing about the Odell Beckham signing with the Cowboys rumors for sure ?
- Dunno what will become of the TY Hilton future with this team.
Maybe another 1 year deal or depends upon other WR moves in offseason.
Dump LVE (gluestick) and sign competent run stuffing LBrs without neck injuries. We are not getting by the next few rounds with this garbage. Mark my words. Milano would be great.DQ will try to sign LVE to his new team when he leaves. Just like how he signed Kazee and Neal when he came to Dallas.
Dump LVE a liability.Resign LVE but you better re-sign Hankins AND DRAFT a kid like Siaki Ika out of Baylor...
Not if you can get a team "friendly" deal...Dump LVE a liability.
Funny how the mark my words comments have gotten weaker and weaker....won't beat better teams....wont make the playoffs.....will be one and done....now it's they wont get through the next few rounds.Dump LVE (gluestick) and sign competent run stuffing LBrs without neck injuries. We are not getting by the next few rounds with this garbage. Mark my words. Milano would be great.
There are others like Arizona, who could be interested as well.Lots of job options but longer Dallas goes in playoffs the better chance teams fill those jobs and we see how it goes.
Indy has a completely bonkers owner and I would never take that job if I were Quinn.
Some good ones but could also be expensive. Even looking at this list, I still rather resign LVE
Brown is a smaller, older corner coming off an Achilles. No guarantees at all there. Gotta look for an upgrade.I agree on the LCB. Brown would work again. TE we are stacked unless Shultz leaves. If Shultz leaves then we have problems with pass catchers for sure. WR not as important if Shultz stays. Need a 3rd WR.
……just the injury is concerning otherwise I’m all inWe need to keep LVE! He's a Cowboy, he's proven himself and most likely would be cheaper to keep than the other LBs on this list. ^^^^
Plus, he knows this system and won't have to skip a beat having to adjust to a new team.
Due to Today's NFL and formations dedicated run stoppers at MLB and even DT is not what teams want with majority of the plays called from nickel teams would rather have a LB that can stay on the field 90% of the plays so having run stopping ability is plus as long as you can also cover. While running the ball is important the NFL is a passing league.LVE has played well. If we don’t resign him would like to see us sign/draft a more old school LB who can stand up blockers and attack RBs head on.
This is a really interesting point that deserves more conversation. A couple of years ago I would have been 10000% on your side here, but right now I'm not as sure. I think this year especially we started to see a trend change in how offenses are operating after years of 3 safety looks, smaller/quicker dlineman, fewer backers, etc. We are starting to see things swing back towards run heavy attacks. Granted we aren't exactly back to the 1990's style of offenses it does create a conversation around what the next few years may look like. Do we see more run first style offenses? Is this more of a short term fad? I don't know the answer, but getting ahead of trends instead of chasing them in the NFL seems to be half the battle. This offseason should be a really interesting year for roster construction.Due to Today's NFL and formations dedicated run stoppers at MLB and even DT is not what teams want with majority of the plays called from nickel teams would rather have a LB that can stay on the field 90% of the plays so having run stopping ability is plus as long as you can also cover. I'm sure of the 7 or so total openings a couple will appeal. There are others like Arizona, who could be interested as well.
Yes teams are running more than they are used to but more with backs like Barkley, Pollard, CMC, the days of Zeke type backs and Henry type backs are numbered. Not saying there is no place in the game for guys like that but those type of backs take beatings and do no have the life span of more nimble backs. With Nickel and heavy nickels being the "base" defense of choice overly specialized LB are going away. Sort of like how QBs are more gauged on athletic ability as opposed QB related things. This is a really interesting point that deserves more conversation. Quinn was suppose to get the Bronco job last season, think he is good as gone at this point there or another team.I'm sure of the 7 or so total openings a couple will appeal.
And if nothing else he likely gets a raise from Jerry.
But we've seen in the past a Coordinator can get bypassed because his team keeps playing.
Thats about my best-case scenario here.
Arizona is interesting if you believe in Kyler Murray.
He got his last coach up out of there even though he loved the guy previously.
Also the owner is pretty cash strapped.
I'd want Carolina or Denver.
Carolina has a good owner, good players and good draft capital.
They need a QB. But the division is really down and they could be set to win it for the next few years.
Denver is a fun place to live and the new owners are open checkbook guys.
Gotta figure out the Russ situation but my guess is the next coach outlasts Russ.
Indy/Zona ownership scares me and the Texans are so busy losing their way to the bottom I am not sure they find the up arrow.
Halfway through the season there were 21 teams giving up 4.5yds/rush or more. That is an insane average and it’s a result of defenses moving more towards cover 2s, zones and combinations of these pass defenses. OCs would rather run than try to throw into 7-man coverages like we did against Tampa in game 1. The running game is coming back and will continue to do so until defenses start running more traditional base defenses again.Due to Today's NFL and formations dedicated run stoppers at MLB and even DT is not what teams want with majority of the plays called from nickel teams would rather have a LB that can stay on the field 90% of the plays so having run stopping ability is plus as long as you can also cover. ...personally, I feel DQ will be back. He's built something good on defense. So you would def resign Hankins and LVE?
Speaking of Quinn, he's interviewing today with Broncos and Colts. I'm guessing he's back if he doesn't get an offer from one.
