No.....he's the owner. He deserves the credit as much as he deserves the blame. He may sign off on it but he's not doing any scouting. He's just meddling.

Been good, taco was a wasted pick and it's a shame the watt was left on the board. Not saying it's his fault, but if you're gonna give him the credit, he deserves the blame. We all know he has no real authority....McClay is doing a fantastic job in my opinion. Cowboy drafts have been very good overall.
That's fine if you feel that way I just disagree. I didn't give him credit in the 90's and I sure as hell ain't doing it now...I'll give him the blame though lol.No.....he's the owner. He deserves the credit as much as he deserves the blame.
His money made Jimmy. The cap has killed him. I met with him back in the day. He's the real deal. I like him. That's fine if you feel that way I just disagree. I didn't give him credit in the 90's and I sure as hell ain't doing it now...I'll give him the blame though lol.

****** Ranch, it was raining so I couldn't go out and accomplish anything here (really not true ... I could have changed the front differential oil in my Kubota), I already had the supper fixins ready to go, so I got on the board to entertain myself. Obviously my subject matter saying these keyboard jocks were dunces and talking outta their collective anal orifices didn't go over well as I've been chided several times . . . by posters I generally like. I thought maybe it was time to be a bit of a trendsetter and lead by example and maybe these fellow fans might see the light (that I saw). Coulda been a flashback though. That's a lot of typing for someone that doesn't care....
Lol! Salud! I agree with every word...****** Ranch, it was raining so I couldn't go out and accomplish anything here (really not true ... Look, I despise the press for the most part. Especially the East Coast press and much of it has it's filthy roots there. Can't help it as they're mostly anti-Cowboy. They're gonna be responsible for getting Elisha Manning in the HOF on the 1st ballot. They got Willie Joe in there when besides his SB win was a mediocre to bad QB. He threw substantially more INT's than TD's. He once had a QBR of 39.9 for a season. The SB win was Weeb Eubanks game plan and the Colts 4 turnovers.
Just voicing my opinion on this. I'll usually not give the talking heads who foretell the future and make these rating lists the time of day or I give 'em he!!.
I type 75 WPM so it may be "a lot of typing" but not a lot of time.
Most anybody else wouldn't have gotten this type explanation but a brush country cowboy has my respect.
If Julio is healthy I don't know how Tennesee isn't #1.
Julio and AJ Brown are probably the two best receivers of all the teams in the top 5.
Fwiwi'd honestly probably give the nod to evans and godwin. even then i think it's super tight with amari and lamb as well. and then obviously gallup and antonio over anyone else on the titans.
Doug Baldwin was killing it for like three years before the national press began to give him any acknowledgment.
I was racking up FF championships with his help and able to draft him every year because the "rankings" everyone else used had him 50 spots below where he should have been. Good times
Fwiw
This was a ranking of entire WR groups, not just tandems.
in ranking of tandems that Ive seen, Dallas is much lower. Lots of great tandems out there.
Legit question. Should be great
I think they're probably looking at the entire groups--3-5 guys, and most teams start 3 WRs and have TEs
For example, KC has All Pros Hill and Kelsey, but fall off a cliff after that...so they have them 6th
Every rating I've seen has the same 1-2.
Either way, Tennesse should be lethal with that run game and now those two WRs if they stay healthy. They lost their stud TE
True.
But there is a good reference point....in 2019 Golden Tate said this:
New Giants receiver Golden Tate said Detroit's Matthew Stafford is the best quarterback he's ever played with during his nine NFL seasons and praised the underrated signal caller's abilities. Tate's words carry even more weight when considering he also previously played with Russell Wilson in Seattle and Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles in Philadelphia.
"Stafford's been the best quarterback I've played with," Tate said Sunday ..... "The guy can flat out play, he's tough, and his attitude is amazing, and he just wants to play ball. For me, I have nothing but praises for him. It’s almost unfair despite how great he is, he doesn’t have a ring to show for it.”
I know none (or few) of us agree that Stafford is better than Wilson ( I sure don't) but that was a direct quote from someone who played several years with both.
Give the man some props!
lol
ok, wrong thread.....my bad....back to WR group ratings
Even though I'm not a huge Deal fan I can't wait to hopefully see what this receiving corp (including the TE's) can do with a healthy Dak for an entire season
Lol good catch, I meant Dak fanDeal fan?
Lol good catch, I meant Dak fan
Lockett - from a pure receiving standpoint, his career numbers wouldn't wow you. Our FF league gives credit for return yardage though & you could pretty much count on him to get you decent points when you needed a replacement WR. I always targeted him as a later round pick.baldwin was an odd case. for as good as he was, he always seemed like he was really outplaying his talent and had fluky production. and then it continued. lockett is really talented but has only had one GREAT year. back to back with a really good year though. he's tough
