Everybody else don’t make $40 million a year. Yes, the QB should take more of the blame. That’s his job. Dak handles the ball more than any other person on the team. I’m sorry to tell you, but he sucks at it. Too many times it’s his own behavior and level of play that causes his teammates to play bad.

You can't blame Dak for the contract. It was the owner\gm that handed it out and didn't do a single thing to account for a scenario where he might be in the position of paying a mediocre QB elite money. All it says about Dak is that he cares more about the money than he does his legacy. To be fair, even if he'd taken less, what would give him any solace to think the owner\gm would spend the money wisely? (example 1a: Ezekiel Elliot) This falls on GM Jerry 100%.

Cool story, but you are right that this FO had absolutely zero leverage.

Allen earns more leeway in that he got his team to an AFC Championship game after only 2nd season and has elevated that franchise with his arm and legs.....until Dak does that he will continue to get the heat.

The Cowboys moved on from offensive coordinator Kellen Moore after the season-ending loss to the 49ers. But some fans have spent the past two weeks clamoring for a new coach and a new quarterback.

Mike McCarthy and Dak Prescott have been easy targets for blame following the franchise’s 27th consecutive season without a trip to the NFC Championship Game.
